Simon would have 3 years left too. That would be two years, at a minimum, without JBJ, RoJo, and Newkirk. If he's willing to play a lesser role in 2017-2018 until those players move on that could workout nicely.

We'll still have a lot of guards in 2017, as Blackmon is the only one who may go pro after 2016 - 2017.  That would leave Robert Johnson, Devonte Green, Josh Newkirk, and Curtis Jones as the primary guards in 2017.  Adding Simon to the mix would certainly be nice.

Yeah Newkirk has two left. Newkirk and Simon would only have one year to potentially play together though.

He recruited one and dones over his minutes. Kid was a freshman this past season, plenty of time to grow. Indiana has proven that they are capable of improving the game of most everyone who enters the program. Don't know if I can say the same for Zona.

If we have a scholarship I would go after this kid. I wasn't all for three guard lineups in previous years but with Simon and Durham in 2017 they could both play on the wing with their wingspans. I'm not sure Simon would want to compete with senior Newkirk, senior RoJo, senior JBJ, CuJo, Green, and Durham. If he does we could see a seamless transition from 2016-2017 to 2017-2018 in the back court.

That would be a ridiculous amount of talent at the guard position. If they all bought in and played their hardest in the minutes they see it would be special. Basketball at all levels is dependent on talent. If he wants to wear the candy stripes and there is a scholarship available sign him up.
