I love Indiana, I love all the fans and the support they've given me all the years, etc etc. BUT I have to do what's best for me and I think it's best for me to play with my 2 fellow burger boys, a wink a Garland and Sittu, which is at Vandy. And he'll say what a tough decision this was and how IU will always have a place in his heart etc which isn't true as this recruitment was over in the fall. He then pivots to vandy who is in the sec, has no history of success and is landing top players out of nowhere, one of which is Shittu who’s recruitment is worthy of an investigation on its own. I read a lot of things college basketball related and have never heard the phrase “no player plays for free”. That is an accusation the FBI would never make because they wouldn’t have the resources to back it up. Vandy got a hometown kid that went to camps as a kid to Drew’s camp. You have a kid that is at Team USA camps, top AAU tournaments, and top camps recruiting as one of the best PG as a senior people will listen. Before anyone starts complaining about 100 different recruitments I am speaking specifically to the one this thread is supposed to be about (not at you but I am sure I will get that cynical wide encompassing response). Instead months before he chose UCLA, they were saying UCLA was the front runner. If they wanted to drive up subscriptions since Bridges had IU in his final 3 and IU had 2 of his former teammates on the roster they could of said IU was in it until the end. I have not joined and honstly it's kind of unethical to just make stuff up as a journalist.
