Because saying Romeo isn't a one and done player is an egregious enough post to draw my attention. It's not like my post was only "This thread is crazy." I had an actual thought and a response to a specific series of posts.

This might be true, although Gary Harris impacts the game on D as much as on O. Not sure RL is a defensive stopper at all.

Disclaimer: I loved GH.

Clearly RL is very, very good but much like Blackmon, Calipari picked a different SG. He deserves his 5 star rating but as I've said all summer we won't be winners or losers next year because of RL. He needs help. Most do.

Romeo is the best player I’ve ever watched by far. And after a 15 point game with a high fever and strep throat, you guys are ready to say Mr. b-ball is gonna open back up and he’s not as good as we thought? Honestly that’s insanity

 

I can’t even believe half these posts. HE WAS AVERAGING 40 A GAME COMING INTO YESTERDAY.

 

I hope he puts up 50 on Brooks tonight to shut some of you up

Yeah, Wayne, I’ll say I think that’s a bit of revisionist history. Romeo and family didn’t exactly mesh with Calipari, especially after Egypt.

Yeah Cal even met up with them once after they returned. There were rumors then his coaching didn’t mesh with Langford. This had nothing to do with Cal backing off.

Yeah, that all started because he didn't get PT in Egypt over the other guards. It's not some Calipari vendetta by the Langfords. The Langfords didn't feel the love.

I'm not off the Romeo train. I'd Love to have him and he is a remarkable talent.

BUT for me, the fact that he was considered a UL guy (until they were busted) and now possibly a KU or Vandy guy gives me some pause. I can't think of 2 shadier programs than KU and and UL and now Vandy wants to roll in the dirt.

It worries me the Langfords want to cash in on his skill before the NBA.

I'm not worried at all. I don't care, if he picks KU or Vandy. Nothing we could do except play the game. Im just taking all the evidence that's out there to form an opinion.

I'm more frustrated in general that our ceiling gets held back because CBB is shady. And we are less shady.

The thing is you say that he is “now possibly a KU or Vandy guy gives me some pause.” The Crystal Ball which I hate still gives a perception of where analysts stand. At this point Kansas is considered on the outside looking in. Vandy has trended due to who they got. Not firm intel it’s leaning that way. I think this is more open than most give it credit for.

I also don’t think it was a Calipari vendetta. The kid had a back injury and barely played. Something in the midst of that gave the Langford’s a bad taste in their mouth as most thought it was a three way race for him with Duke, UK, and UL with UL leading. Not sure it was lack of PT. It was fully known he had a back injury.

You just literally said you’re worried that the Langford family is trying to cash out on his skill before the NBA. So yeah you’re worried a bit
