IMO some of you are getting your panties in a knot for no valid reason at this point in time.  There's a lot of water to go under the bridge before Romeo is going to make a decision.  Sit back, relax, and put your anxiety on hold until at least March 1.  Watch IU steadily show improvement under Archie and how that level of improvement could impact the decision Romeo eventually makes.  I'm already on blood pressure meds and I'm not going to let Romeo cause an increase in my daily dosage!

In my last Q&A with Damezi after Hoosier Hysteria he said he was talking with Romeo but said he was gonna let Romeo make his own decision. He also said that IU has the talent and coach to sell itself. It sounds like most IU people involved w him are playing the cool guy approach and know we will be fine with or without him. Same thing some of us should consider.

I get the feeling the anchors are being lifted and the ship is prepping to sail.

I've heard insiders have felt good about this but starting to feel they're optimistically guessing. To me it all comes down to why he is waiting?

Is he waiting to see how IU does this season or is he not committing so there's still hype from high school IU fans?

Simple answer would be he is waiting because that has been the plan the whole time according to every interview I had seen with him or his dad the last couple months. Some people felt since he has taken all his officials early and chatter after HH that was changing but other people said no chance he would sign early because the families plan was to wait. I would say they are dealing with this recruitment on their terms. Tim has limited the remaining coaching staffs on availability and access to Romeo

I simply don't care anymore. Just get it over with then if your going to vandy and we can set our sites on a good grad transfer in the spring hopefully.

I'm not worried about all the fuss about RL playing with Shittu and Garland. RL has offers from plenty of teams with multiple 5* players and they didn't make his final 3. I really do not think that having multiple 5* on the roster is part of RL decision making process. Watching him play, it looks like he enjoys being the center piece of a team. Does that mean he is ours, who knows, maybe not even him or the family at this point. The recruiting news is slowing down, not much to talk about, instead of just reporting the news, many are reading the tea leaves to draw out some drama to spike the news feeds. We were told several months ago that RL would be a spring commit and now everyone is losing their cool that the tea leaves seem to point to Vandy. As others have mentioned, I believe that come January to March news will become more than circumstantial and will have more than just guesses.

This thread is starting to resemble the Darius thread with all of the tea leaf expert opinions saying something that wasn't even close to how that turned out. Lets not get all worked up like that again.  Patience is the key, and unless RL verbals on twitter or something, I would take everything with a grain of salt. For now enjoy some IU basketball! I know I am enjoying it, especially after being at the Hall on Friday for my dads birthday. I really enjoyed watching a coach that knows what he is doing and its about damn time that we have one!

To me going to Vanderbilt makes zero sense if you are one and done. 3 five star guys who are all freshman can't carry you to a national championship. I don't know much about the rest of their class but it seems unlikely. The whole thing seems fishy to me. But fact Romeo has continuously gone out of his way both to bring up Vanderbilt and to bring them into his recruitment seems like he favors them over IU.

He didn’t bring them into his recruitment they were one of his first offers when Stallings was still the coach. Vandy has been involved since the beginning
