HoosierAloha Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 are you meaning health wise or just because he is busting his butt to get post position and they won't pass him the ball Twice, that I recall, TB was fighting for position. Troy was dancing with the ball and then drove... why? Get the ball into TB and good things will happen! MikeRoberts 1 Quote
JSHoosier Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Troy was much better last year than this year -- that's the definition of regression. We will be better without him (much like the addition by subtraction we saw with how the team has played since a certain injury earlier in the year). I didn't think Troy was as good last year as others did. He still got by on pure athleticism but had more than his fair share of WTF decisions. Alford Bailey and FloridaHoosierGirl 2 Quote
coonhounds Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 think you can blame this year on Crean thinking that Troy can actually make good decisions as a point forwardcrean tried same crap last year with him. Blame crean for not helping him use his talents correctly and just let him be out of control 90 percent of the time schoosier and MikeRoberts 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I am still dumbfounded by Yogis play. He's our rock. Didn't lead the team tonight with his play in any form or fashion. Bruce038, MikeRoberts, DChoosier and 2 others 5 Quote
DChoosier Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 its regardless because the common thread is all losses were to bad teams. Are we better? Maybe. Not tonight. Yes they were bad losses. That being said,... I am not a big Crean fan but I think the team is better and much, much more fun to watch than the Maui games. Remember the layup drills the other teams ran down the lane against us and national commentators laughing at our lack of D? Again, overall better D, better bench, Crean sitting people that do not perform, substations do not seem to be as wacky, better help defense, etc. I just think we are a different team. lakejameshoosier 1 Quote
coonhounds Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 yeah the team is much better when Troy just runs the baseline and doesn't have to dribble as much Why anyone wants him bringing the ball up the court is beyond me. His pass in the first half could have killed somebody yet he thinks it was the other guys fault for not catching it. The guy is just out of control in all facets of the game HoosierAloha, Bruce038 and MikeRoberts 3 Quote
cjvz20 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Also we been playing good man to man why go to a zone against a terrible team if we looked completely overmatched like earlier in the year I would understand it MikeRoberts 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I don't see it in the box score but did Troy get 2 points for that air dunk in the first half? So glad he jumped at the rim without the ball. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

We are better. So are most teams. We were crummy tonight against an awful, awful team. coonhounds 1 Quote
theriverpilot Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 One thing I saw at least twice tonight was Yogi had a mismatch with a bigger man. Both times he could've easily drove around the bigger man, but he chose to dribble around and then pass the ball. I remember Maryland being in a tight game with PSU earlier this year and Trimble would drive past the bigger man with that mismatch. He'd either score, get fouled, or dish to someone underneath for a layup. THat was the difference with MD beating PSU WayneFleekHoosier and MikeRoberts 2 Quote

AKHoosier Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Told my friend to look out for Yogi having a bad game. His former basketball coach at Park Tudor got arrested this past week on child pornography. Kyle Cox never coached Yogi, did he? I thought he was only coached by Ed Schilling. Quote

The guy is just out of control in all facets of the game Yeah, that jumping up and down like it was Max's (?) fault was terrible. He had another 90 mph fastball pass to a teammate a few feet away from him but got bailed out by another playing catching the deflection. He only had 2 TOs but had about 5 layups that were terrible and another few passes that were deflected to other IU players. Alford Bailey, Bruce038, coonhounds and 1 other 4 Quote

byrdj65 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 We never look good in trap games. We roll Michigan lose to Penn state and will be ready to roll against Iowa. I think crean just tells them to go play when we play the scrubs of the big ten. Quote
