Max Bielfeldt wins the B1G 6th man of the year!

Thank you, John.

Extremely well deserved honor.  Max may have only worn candystripes for 1 year, but what a year it's been.  We will remember Max and his contributions (and his calves) a very long time!

Congrats to Crean, Yogi, Max, Troy, and Big Tom.

Max winning 6th man was a nice surprise, as I didn't even think of that as a possibility before it was announced. Well deserved.

Congrats Hoosiers! All these awards just go to show how much of a TEAM effort this title was from start to finish in the Big Ten. And the good news is---we have not peaked yet this year.  I really feel like we are playing our best basketball now. Just Win Hoosiers!

Interesting.. My Post Hoosier Hysteria assessment. I was partly wrong about Max in post but man.

We are going to be a team that needs to make shots. We will be smaller than most teams. TB is a solid rebounder but nowhere near Vonleh rebounder. Max is small and will get abused in post IMO. Better than Hartman or Yogi in post though .

Troy is going to have a year if he can make smart plays. Rob looks more composed. JB is JB. Like him but needs to find his shot. It's missing somewhere, so Crean was entirely right in his assessment of JB. Yogi will be great. Hope he doesn't over shoot. Although we may need him to. We are not deep. OG oozes with potential. Long haul but that size and athleticism, I can see why Crean liked him. Morgan has a knack for rebounds. Will play. Needs to toughen up for B1G play.

I watched UK midnight madness. It wasn't overly impressive either but seemed more hype than ours. Part of that may be production. Murray and Skal looked better than Yogi and TB. I hope my eyes deceive me.

Nobody shot the ball particularly well tonight. Despite all this, I still think we have a great year. Our starting 5 is too strong not to. We need to play D though and Rebound.

More predictions:

Based on a very small sample of last night.

Starters
1. Yogi
2. Rob
3. JB
4. Troy
5. TB

Bench in order
6. Hartman
7. Z man
8. Max
9. OG
10. Morgan
11. The man, the myth, the legend!

Question to me is, can Juwan or OG jump Max or Hartman for big man minutes by mid or late season???

This is how I see things as of now. I gave OG a bump due to size mostly but Juwan has more polish. Those 2 could be flipped. Plus CTC likes experience so Hartman shoots up depth chart but limited athleticism still lowers his ceiling. Similar for Max. Big body but not tall. Will have problems rebounding vs the B1Gs best.
