Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Surely hate to see him go but you have to be happy for Howard that he's put himself in this position. Naturalhoosier 1 Quote
Miller'sTheMan Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Good for him, he's a great player. Redding/Majette should be able to be solid backs for us next season. JaybobHoosier, Bobman1 and Naturalhoosier 3 Quote
Hurryin' Hoosiers Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 this stinks. On one hand, you would think NFL teams would be wary of picking Howard due to his injuries. Playing another season at IU and being healthy for it would show he can stay healthy and help his stock. On the other hand, he could get injured even worse and lose out. Guess he's hoping teams will overlook all the time has missed. Seems like he is the RB version of Bob Sanders. Duels out pain but always injured because of it. JaybobHoosier and rossellis 2 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Figured another injury plagued season and he was doomed. Go get your money Howard how about a great Bowl game to go out on a high note. Quote

Injury prone and from a school not known for football? A Baakle specialty! He will fit in on the Niners. Probably our first round pick. Quote
Old Friend Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 He's hurt an awful lot to think he's a very high draft pick. Very nice player, but can't stay healthy. Good for him, but I think he needs to show more than he did. A great back....like him very much. Quote

Wouldn't it matter what the knee scope reveals? It could be worse then a little owie. Crimson and Cream, Bobman1, mamasa and 5 others 8 Quote
johnsoniu Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 He missed one game in two years at UAB while racking up 450+ carries. He got nicked up this year, still managed 200 carries but now he's injury prone? HoosierReb01, sirhoosierlot, Bobman1 and 1 other 4 Quote

Whether I am or not has no bearing on the fact that I think labeling him injury prone a bit premature. Quote

I guess I'm just saying the kid has a future but if I was him I wouldn't play whether the scope said yes I'm good or no I'm not. I'd support the team, go be a leader on the sidelines like he was at purdue. Things happen but I'm not gonna play and get a label as injury prone if I come back and injure myself in another game. I'm going go into the combine and put IU on the map for football. Sheesh my b johnsoniu 1 Quote

As a fan I hope like heck he plays but would understand if we don't see him. Of course, this is the cat that tried to sneak back on the field against OSU, so who knows JaybobHoosier and IUsafety 2 Quote
323SGrant Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Best to him. As an IU guy, I would love to have him back, but RB's take a ton of punishment and you have to go Pro when you can. 323SGrant, IUsafety and southsidehoosier 3 Quote
