Hoosiers219 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I'd be shocked if Newkirk started over Rojo To be honest, I wasn't sure about Newkirk. I don't really know that much about his game. I just thought he was a true PG. Rojo isn't getting hardly any play at the 1. I haven't really seen much that would lead me to believe that his skill set transfers over to true point guard. Could someone talk a little bit about Newkirk and what he would bring to the table next year? I suppose this should probably be in a separate thread. My bad. Noticed this with Vonleh too. On the contrary, Vonleh's team wasn't winning much. Quote
chitown hoosier Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 A lot of times committed kids who are team players let other teammates do the scoring to help with their recruiting. He also had like 4 blocked shots so it looks like he was focusing on defense. I'm not too worried about his scoring because he can be a really good offensive player of he wants to be. I'm extremely excited for next year with a potential TB/DD/OG combo. It would be hard to score in the paint with those 3 gaurding. Quote
KingPG21 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 DD is not going to be a high PPG guy is my guess. I think he will be an impact guy from day 1 though. I think he will be a 6-8 PPG guy as a freshman especially if TB stays. However, I think he makes us better on both ends of court due to size, athleticism, team play.
