I had the same question for the second half and didn't ask it. It kind of has to be right? How many Quentin Taylor basketball players can there be?

This Quentin Taylor played his high school ball for Brebeuf, and it seems like he was better known as a football wr than a bball player in high school. Only one year of varsity bball, and he barely played during that year. HS teammate of Boiler PJ Thompson.

This is the best page I found for him. And I could not find it with his name + basketball or + football. So, sounds like he is a classic walk-on.

went to HS with him. great athleticism but he could never put the pieces together to be a good player for football or bball. he's kinda like a 6'2" version of freshman troy

Thanks for helping solve this mystery.  I heard we were short on personnel last month due to injuries so they let him lace up. Now that we are getting healthy---maybe the coaches have liked what they have seen in practices.  Nice to have another Hoosier on the floor---we shall see if he makes the roster. He's sure living my dream when I was his age!

He was also on the team trips to see the Ravens and whatnot. People were questioning who an extra guy in the pictures was and Im pretty sure it was Taylor

Not that it means anything significant, but he is not on the schedule poster put out by the athletic department. Of course, neither is Jordan Fuchs.

From his Twitter & Instagram pages he is VERY EXCITED to be a Hoosier... and I know we would all expect that from a Walk-on but the love of a program, the history etc is contagious.... and the more guys on the team that have that Love & respect the better off we all are!

 

I am genuinely excited for this kid. Even if he never sees a moment of in game action.
