Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Halftime: 11 points on 4 of 8 from the field. I just can't get into the style of ball either team is playing. I feel like I'm watching 10 Troy Williams' on the floor. Hutch89, Alford Bailey and Hoosiers96 3 Quote
Hoosiers96 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 That's what I was about to say. These high school games are hard to watch, 1 on 1 ball every possession Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 HP 27 Monteverde 26 CuJo 14 pts on 6-11 shooting. He is the primary ball handler. Good handle although has had a few TO. Not much defense. Fast in open court. Skinny. Not much of a rebounder. Definitely a scoring guard mentality. Monteverde has some silly good athletes. A 1 handed alley oop, will be on SCTop10. Incredible. johnsoniu, JaybobHoosier, hoosierpap and 1 other 4 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I'll defer my report on his scoring to Wayne's post which I believe is the more accurate. Wayne's other comments are spot on. I don't see much defense from anyone on CuJo's team. IMO it's street ball personified. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I think Monteverde could beat us with their style. Lol. They can't hit a jumper to save their life, but they dunk and rebound like mad. They would have 4 minute offensive possessions with 8 O rebounds. jk. Kind of. WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 RJ Barrett will be a total stud. Only a freshman for MV. Does it all. Quote

Hovadipo Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 One plus though...Cujo is completely dominating. Bridges is good (or great), but this looks like Cujo's team to me tonight. JaybobHoosier and mamasa 2 Quote

Hovadipo Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Interesting Glancing over my computer as I do homework, so not 100% into it but they're just running high screen and roll 9 out of 10 possessions I see and he's either getting to the hoop or kicking. Good ball handler and attacks the hoop strong. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Bigger, more physical Monteverde team dominating here in 4th quarter. HP has no answers to the physicality of MV. Zero defensive effort by HP. Quote

Zero defensive effort by HP. Lack of defensive effort is a real concern considering that's been a major issue for our team for several seasons. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Glad you're back buddy.planned on a longer vacation, but missed you scallywags. Was telling my wife about taking break. She said how long? I said it could be a while. Lol. A partial weekend it is. bleedhoosier, Dalton26, Stuhoo and 3 others 6 Quote
