I understand the curiosity, but let's not clog up the Phinsee thread too much with the Crean story and posts asking for pms about it. Chris just shared that it was "Crean asking a member of the staff to do something, than after it's done, he decided his way would be better."  If he wants to add more on the open board he will. Don't shoot the messeneger, but told it will be tomorrow he announces. Was told Thursday or Sunday, but the "source" said 99.9% tomorrow night.

The thing that worries me is his brother goes to Purdue. I know it's very close but could be weird for them. With Eastern being named a PG as well as having Carsen Edwards I think that pushed them out of the picture though.

I don't think anyone knows. We all know it will just be sometime before the end of the month. I'm putting my money on sometime this weekend as a guess.

Maybe he is waiting to do it on August 31 here on campus, maybe even on gameday for the IU-OSU game.

I was hoping Yogi's picnic had heard more.  It was 99.9% Thursday (today).  That is what I get for getting my hopes up...

According to a Brian Snow post on another website people around him are surprised he hasn't committed by now and wonder what he is waiting for.  RP has said behind the scenes he isn't going to take visits before he commits. They say he has all the information and no clue why he hasn't committed to whichever school he wants to go to

Sorry bout the misinformation. I fully trust the guy that told me. Has been very good with info in the past. Was told there was multiple tweets of him making it official on twitter, so he backed off. Sunday was the other day he told he from the jump, but not sure anymore if I can go off that. His words were by the end of August most likely so we should hear something soon. I really don't understand the hold up if he is 100% sold on us. He will make it known when he is ready though it seems.

• If you believe that we are in Garland's top 6, Duke's top 5, and that Akinjo, Dort and DeVoe also all have IU in real consideration, Phinisee may be waffling as to whether to commit due  to his wondering whether IU is trying to recruit over him in the 2018 class. If you believe this theory, then IU may have even made that specific point with Phinisee. 
• Now, if you believe that those other point guards are just paying lip service to IU, then it would be Phinisee who is waffling in his IU commitment.
