Kinda want us to play the 3 guard line-up vs Purdue with Williams at the 4 if Swanigan goes to Purdue... Williams could beat him off the dribble literally whenever he wants to if he gets a respectable jump shot, which he made some progress on this past season.

@dandakich: Where did I say "Done Deal" that's why I'm not media..can't quote a simple 5 word tweet accurately.. https://t.co/4KGQbm2MYt

....?

Not sure what Dakich is trying to say----but if Swanigan goes to Purdue---something SMELLS--- even worse than West Lafayette in the summer time!

Cal or UK still seem the most likely to me.

Barnes wants him to go to the place that fits him the best. He believes that place is Purdue. Swanigan doesn't really want to go to Purdue, so he settled for MSU at first. Think he is now realizing that Purdue is the best fit and that's why this is all going down now. Cal would make a ton of sense if he didn't have to play the 5.

Rabb would play the 5. Cal makes sense to me but Purdue does too. Heck even UK would make sense.

Rabb will be the 4 at Cal. Barnes knows Swanigan is going to have to play out on the floor some if he's going to be an NBA player with his size. If he goes to Cal, even if Rabb is their "5," Swanigan would spend more time on the block than Barnes wants him to. At Purdue he is the 4 man and would never have to play the 5. His buddies are at Cal, best basketball situation for him is at Purdue. I guess we'll see what wins out.

Rabb projects as a 5 in the NBA. I'm not sure how Swanigan being a 4 at Purdue is, in any way, a better situation than being a 4 at Purdue. I'd actually love for him to play the 4 at Purdue. Troy will eat him up out there on the wing.

I'm with you. I think Swanigan to Purdue is a win/win for the rest of the Big Ten. It obviously hurts MSU, as I think he could be a good fit there with their personnel and their coach, and I think a Swanigan & Hammons/Haas frontcourt will hurt Purdue in terms of chemistry and as the college game has shifted to a more 4-out/1-in game.

Don't get wrong, Purdue would have games where they dominate the paint and win, but I think IU, Maryland, MSU, Wisconsin, etc. would more take advantage of them. Are they going to put Swanigan on Nigel Hayes, on Troy, on Layman, etc?
