YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!

Recommended Posts

He will be in the top 10 in a bunch of career stat categories by the end of next season (given that he stays)... That's enough for me to put him among the best point guards to ever set foot on IU's campus.

I agree, I think he's a very special player and I completely disagree with Benz.  If Yogi doesn't come back, then Coach Crean will have to consider bringing in an additional ball handler because currently Yogi is the only point guard on the team.  I've been watching IU basketball for 3 decades, and Yogi is the best point guard we've had in that era.  It's really just him and Isaiah.  With the weapons that IU has returning, having Yogi come back as a Senior could be the reason we have a legit chance of winning the B1G and advancing far into the NCAA tournament.

I just feel like yogi is given this cult hero status and I don't believe he has earned it.

Not saying he's no good.

And I do find it odd that he gets a pass for some things that if he were here during the sampsonyears or not from Indy or if his name wasn't yogi he wouldn't

That's the point of this thread.  Yogi isn't a "cult-hero" YET but he could become one if he comes back and leads us to glory!  He's a great point guard who I hope comes back and accepts the challenge of UNFINISHED BUSINESS!

ZachOsterman @ZachOsterman
Thomas Bryant, smiling, on what he'd say to Yogi Ferrell: "Stay, please. Just one more year." #iubb

@ZachOsterman @ twitterless Thomas Bryant ---We'll see

We second that TB!

Come on Doc---we finally have the pieces for the run---just say YES!

They were. And we ran as #1 all season long, won the big ten title and then lost in the sweet 16. The team we have assembled is more talented.

AND (to Yogi) we have a better point guard running the show. You rarely see a successful team that can't fluidly move the ball through the 1 spot.
