Ran some numbers and here are your averages for Sweet 16 rosters this year, and if I was a betting man I would say these averages would go up once you get to Elite 8 or Final Four

Juniors - 3.75 players per team

Seniors - 2.87 players per team

IU - Next Year

Juniors - Devin, Stan, Troy, Colin

Seniors - Yogi, Nick, Hanner, Ryan

My worry is if you cross out Nick and Yogi, then look at who is leading our team next year.

I'm assuming you used Kentucky in your data too? Their model would have to skew that info a little bit and isn't relevant to IU because we don't necessarily go the 1 and done route. That means those numbers would go up even more.

Actually UK has 2 Jr's and 3 Sr's on their Roster.

The data was pulled off entire Roster, I don't recall but I would say UK's Seniors are GPA builders.

Louisville has the lowest - 1 - JR & 1 - SR

UNC, Arizona & Mich St. have the highest at a combined 10 - JR's and SR's each.

So you included walk-ons?

I think this is a perfect example of people looking for a reason to be upset. This was a logical transfer by a player who needs to go to a lower quality team where he can receive more attention for development and more playing time. Literally everyone wins in this situation: Crean has a spot for Juwan Morgan, Stanford will receive more playing time and get a much needed fresh start, and the fans who feel that Stanford was not a good ambassador of the program got there wish. I don't get why there seem to be so many individuals upset by this.

Would like to do that or Players playing 10+ min per game, but my stupid job keeps getting in the way.

One of these days when I hit the Powerball you guys will have a full-time statistician.

Just did the 10+ minutes per game.

Juniors: 2.063

Seniors: 1.75

By comparison, we had more juniors than those teams this year and will also have more next year, barring any surprises.

I realize this is off topic, but I think the leadership is an issue as far as classes go and continually replacing sophomores and juniors with younger, more raw talent. Most of the teams in the sweet 16 have half, if not more, of their contributors that are either juniors or seniors.

Stan made some mistakes while here at IU, but I don't think they accurately depict who he is. He has always been a hard worker and has done what is asked of him without any bickering. It's tough to go from getting a decent amount of playing time as a freshman, to not much as a sophomore (mind we did bring in a great freshman backcourt). I wish nothing but the best for Stan and hope he is successful in life and his basketball career.
