Stan Robinson transferring

Recommended Posts

Not Creaning. Like many have said, Stan needs a fresh start and a change of scenery. Best of luck to him.

Now IU just needs two more spots to open up. I'm guessing we will be saying goodbye to some scholarship players that spent must of their time at the end of the bench. Three guys to choose from.

I'll throw in five bucks if Stan kidnaps Tom and hauls him somewhere east. I don't really care where or how far, but east. I can see it now. Stan is driving an old Buick with expired plates through the back roads of Connecticut, sometime around 2:00 in the morning. Stan nearly takes out a vagrant who had the misfortune of standing on a sidewalk at the wrong time, while Tom quietly sleeps. Being awakened from his slumber after the car bottoms out after coming off the curb, he turns to Stan and says, "Hey Stan, I've been thinking about you a lot since last weekend. A whole lot". To which a very nervous Stanford Robinson slams on the brakes, throws open the door, and "Creans" poor Tom, right in downtown Chester, population 5,342.

I'm not sure if I think that's funny or I'm creeped out haha

Not to derail but Hyron Edwards does not have an active IU offer.

As for Stan, this was his decision, as many have pointed out. Look for George Washington here

According to this ESPN report, Hyron does have an IU offer: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/162483/hyron-edwards

Perhaps you know something ESPN doesn't?

Conditional offers are a reality of the recruiting process.

It's my speculation, but I'm pretty sure that if Hyron Edwards has an offer, it's a conditional offer.

I thought we just offered him like 6 weeks ago?

If he was offered 6 weeks ago, I'm not aware of it and would appreciate a link. I was told IU was doing their due diligence in the event that Yogi leaves. Offers followed by months of inactivity is not an active offer. Hell, IU offers on a conditional basis and won't accept it the second it leaves Crean's mouth.  Now if there was an offer 6 weeks ago, please link it...

Good for Stan that he'll get a chance to go somewhere to get more playing time.  He was a good recruit, it just didn't work out as well as anybody had hoped.  And good for IU that a portion of our scholarship crunch just got resolved and we're that much closer to freeing up a spot for our real need...a big.

Nothing wrong with a win-win and no need to trash anybody in this case.  Go Hoosiers!

Sorry but i'm not at all sorry to see this happen.  Everyone knew we were oversigned by 2 and needed to clear room for Juwan Morgan and O.G. and probably one more player since Crean needs a big man.  If I could have picked the player that I'd want to transfer most on the team it'd be Stan.  I've never seen a guard at IU shoot the ball as badly as Stan.  I mean his jumper is just flat out broken.  How many times has a kid tried to switch shooting hands his Sophomore year in College?  Very rarely under Crean does a player transfer that I really wanted to return or felt that we let one get away, Luke Fischer was the only guy so far.
