Yup...

We only have twelve on scholly, with one (Newkirk) required to sit a year and another (MSB) who we are saving for 'super-duper special occasions'.

That leaves ten active, playable players, and OG and Juwan are two of them.

I think many will find this intriguing. From umhoops in an article about Max Bielfedt.

“Coach Beilein is more of a teacher,” Bielfeldt said. “He’ll want you to be able to sit in the film room for an hour and be able to describe every cut and name it something so everyone has their own language, whereas (Indiana coach Tom) Crean will kind of just throw you out on the floor and have you run stuff and kind of coach while he goes.”

Beilein is known by his players for planning out every minor detail in the team’s practice and workout schedule a month in advance, so when Bielfeldt gets a text from Crean saying the team has the day off just a few hours before practice, the difference between the two can be glaring.

“It’s very bizarre and different to compare the two coaching styles,” Bielfeldt said. “Coach Crean’s definitely a more passionate guy, while Beilein is more of a, I’ll use the word ‘Mastermind,’ sitting back and trying to see the big picture and weigh things out.”

No longer possessing the luxury of time to learn a system over a season or two, though, Bielfeldt knows Crean’s spontaneity will help Bielfeldt learn quickly.

Not surprising one bit. This didn't really shed any light as much as it did confirm things with me. We will always have a handicap in game, sadly.

Gary Parrish was at practice the past two days. Sounds as though Bryant's foot has not prevented him from impressing with his mobility and running the floor.

@JeffRabjohns: Thomas Bryant's mobility has really taken strides since he arrived at IU. It's changed what he can do. https://t.co/H4kY37hkqz

@GaryParrishCBS: @jeffborzello Runs and handles it well for a guy his size, too. And he's a comfortable shooter. Interesting talent.

Bo Ryan is a great coach, and Wiscy will always be pretty good with him BUT..... #9 in the country and top of the B1G? Don't see that happening, the talent just isn't there imo.

I don't know about #1 in the conference, but I wouldn't put them below 4 with Ryan still there.

The talent IS there. Its just that they lost some serious talents. Koenig is a stud. Hayes is a stud. Ethan Happ is going to disappoint a lot of us Bc he's a monster and is relatively unknown to B1G fans. Showalter is also very capable at the 2. Do NOT sleep on Wisky being in the top of the B1G. They have a nice combo of final four experienced players at key positions and very talented players coming up that had opportunities to learn Bo's system. They also got to practice daily against the the group that was one of the best the B1G had seen in a long time.

I mean...... Kenpom always kind of favors Wisconsin. Also, you guys realize that he doesn't rank them, he puts this stuff through his crazy formula and comes out with these rankings right? Like he is as close to an unbiased ranking source, that doesn't rely upon potential as we're going to get

Also a new vigor in calling the hand contact. Expecting a lot of calls early in the season to set the tone.

Man I really wish they would let them play a little more. I feel like they already call too many tricky-tack fouls as it is, slows the game down.
