Great post CC.  I arrived back home early this morning after attending a Newsboys concert last night and this video was the first thing I viewed before watching the ball game.  This CTC guy... what a great giver and lover of people.  It was awesome to see Brian be a part of that presser.  btw, The ballgame wasn't bad either.  Congrats guys. Keep building.

Anyone have any info on Mr. Jones? Where is he from? Who he is? Why he loves IU basketball? It would be a good insight to learn a bit about him. Anyone that shares the love of IU is a friend.

I saw a few media members mention this on twitter and finally turned it on as background noise while I was watching something else. It ultimately stopped me dead in my tracks.

 

IUBB is about way more than on-court performance and Basketball. I honestly don't know another fan base that knows, loves, and cares about their program as much as IU fans and I absolutely love seeing the program go out of it's way to demonstrate how it feels about the fans.

I think Crean met him because he had heard he was a big IU fan who was suffering from ALS and Crean made the trip to visit him. On Inside the Hall it said he was from Bloomington and him and his family have always been big IU fans.

for as much crap as people give Crean, this was a terrific act. Crean didn't do this for media coverage or anything. He did it because he is a nice guy. He may have his quirks but when it comes down to it, he cares about the players, the fans, and the legacy of IU.

Bigger than hoops. IU sure has changed, but one thing that hasn't is that IU basketball extends far beyond winning and losing basketball games.
