If true, he has a serious illness. It develops from strep infections. The body produces antibodies against the strep that attack his own body and can affect the brain, kidneys, and his heart. Can be fatal but if treated in a timely fashion then usually not. Most common long term affect is the destruction of heart valves that may necessitate needing valve replacement. Pray he has a full recovery of true.

I hope this is not the case.

Yea my mother in law ended up with rheumatic and she has had 2 valve replacements at this point. It will definitely weaken a heart in no time
