IU-Rutgers Post Game Thread/Yogi Appreciation Thread

It's good they don't count drives to the basket in to two players and throwing up bricks as turnovers or Stan would lead the Big Ten. Stan is awful and the fact that his best contribution is just not screwing up too bad is pathetic.

For a kid who has only screwed up this year, any positive contribution is a major development.

Looked like there was a lid on the basket at times, glad the boys kept fighting. This win may help to get us back in a groove. Winning a game when shots aren't falling will have to boost confidence going forward.

I think the Hoosiers just as soon would not have played today but they finally shut down Mack and did what they had to to pull out a W.  I'm sure glad it was played at home though!

That's true for sure. I thought Stan played maybe his best game of the year today. Not that that is saying much

Still feel like we are giving something up when he and Troy are on the court at the same time. A small team can not afford to have two guys that aren't a jumping shooting threat on the court at the same time. Let's defenses pack it on us. Hard to score when you can't drive and kick to a shooter.

Agreed, and that's on Crean to manage that.

Hartman just needs to shoot when he's open instead of trying to drive the lane. Driving becomes a lot more easier after you hit a couple open threes. Can't complain about a win today but I saw a lot of guys getting hesitant to shoot because the shots weren't falling early. This lead to a lot of driving against a packed lane which is never good. They need to trust their shooting and keep hoisting up open shots.

The only things positive to me was the energy on rebounding and loose balls which tells me there trying. We need a lot of work on defense and in getting good looks on offense. We got the win and if we can win against Wisconsin were in good shape.

Yogi wasn't the leading scorer and we won.  JBJ and Troy (minus the TOs) had pretty good games.  There seems to be a formula here.  Colin needs to get going again.

This from ITH is the biggest factor.

The numbers for Williams in Big Ten play speak to how important his production is for IU to be successful. In IU’s six Big Ten wins, he’s averaging 15.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. In three conference losses, he’s averaging just 5.3 points and three rebounds per contest.

Don't understand your hatred for Stan? His effort is there, he is our defensive stopper, doesn't matter the position if the other team has somebody on fire put Stan on him and he is instantly shut down

I hear from his classmates that he is a funny, upbeat, lighthearted kinda guy in person.....No need to be hatin on Stan. He's trying I'm sure. Gezz they had him trying to shoot to start the year with his right hand!!! LOL you'd be screwed up too if that happened to you and you were a lefty! lol

I'm left handed and it just blows me away at what they were trying to do with him. I mean...WTF?

dont get me wrong I dont hate him I just feel more often than not on court he is a liability. Nothing about him as a person
