Crean looks at the stats for deflections against Purdue, "I can beat that," he says quietly to himself.

Later, during the post game interview a reporter asks, "Coach, why was your defense so atrocious tonight?"

"We just didn't play with purpose and resolve and couldn't hit our shots. Rob was really hurting and I lost my tie during half time."

Chalk up another successful deflection for the champ, he thinks to himself...

To be fair to Stan, he played hard tonight and for the most part made good decisions. He didnt really play the second half. I have no idea why Max was in there as much as he was.

There was a wide gap of intensity and confidence between the two teams. Looked like boys vs men out there.
