I hate UK even more now!

Ok today should have been an easy low key day at work but thanks to a UK fan I will probably drink a few too many beers later. Ok I would have anyway.

So I'm in the office when a regular customer comes in for some fasteners, I'm in industrial sales by the way, and looks at my IU wind shirt and in a somewhat angry tone says that I need to get rid of my shirt. My response is I hope you are not a Kentucky fan. This guy raises his voice and puts his fist in the air and says "yes I support a winner". Ok I'm normally the kind of person who says the customer is always right but hey these we're fighting words. My response was...yeah the best team money can buy right?

We went back and forth a few times and each time I had a smile on my face and this guy got more angry by the second. To make a long story shorter, I let it end when he started telling me what a goofy F*** Crean is on the sideline because this was on the verge of getting out of control.

My take on this whole situation is this UK fan is still so bitter over the Wat shot that it makes him absolutely miserable to see anything IU or interact with an IU fan. This customer is normally pretty cordial and after twenty years in this business this by far the craziest interaction that I have ever had with a customer.

If you can have a conversation with either of the two fans that are actually knowledgeable they'll let you know they're probably not playing within the rules.  I've actually had this conversation and was quite surprised.

Somewhat related: I was down at the Music City Bowl yesterday and was utterly shocked at how friendly all of the Notre Dame fans were. Idk if I just ran into the right ones, but all of them were pretty cordial.

Yeah this was the first time I have encounterd anything of this nature. I have exchanged a few barbs before but always in a good humor way. This guy was very angry and there was no humor involved what so ever.

That's a good idea, It's always handy to have a few extra rags around the shop for cleaning as well.

I posted something very similar to "best team $ can buy to a friend on facebook. She is an IU alum, hubby is a UK fan. He had her unfriend or block me. I laughed and laughed because you can tell that they "UK Peeps" can't stand the truth. Can not wait till Cal leaves, cause thats when crap hits the fan at all these schools that he has coached before. Its funny to me how everywhere else in the country players leave when they are 1st rounders. Oh but not at UK, they can't afford the pay cut!
