IU vs UNC-Greensboro Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Let's go Hoosiers! Play some D and win this game. This past week has been really tough. My son gets crapped on by his programs coach and IU gets beat by Eastern Washington! This year is starting to look like a repeat.

David Williams I believe...I looked him up last year, and he hadn't produced much for UNC-G.

Yes, he was a player I think Buckley saw oince and convinced Crean to offer. He accepted and we had to take it back from him. A perfect example of why you shuld not offer these kids before their junior seasons imo. Yes, recruit them, but offer late. It makes a scholarship offer from Indiana hard to get and more value which it is.

This is probably the least excited I have been for a iu game ever. I only say this because the dissapointment is still here from last game and even a 30 point win tonight will do little to fix that. I will admit that a if they look solid on d and move the ball on offense it will however help.

You took the words out of my mouth I usually get pumped but I feel so uninterested about this game

I get amped for every Hoosier game, every one. It's time to put the EW game behind us and get after it again. Each game is an oppurtunity to improve, no matter the opponent. Go Hoosiers!

Actually, it was Roshown McLeod who offered Williams and accepted the commitment without involving the head coach. He was taken off the road after that, and essentially fired. Buckley was not involved.

Agree that the early offers are too much of a risk. In the early years it was understandable, but not so much now.

Have tickets for tonight, but am staying home to take care of my wife who is under the weather.  (Who is winning husband of the year?  This guy.)

I really hope to see some improvement tonight.  Winning 107-88 won't make me happy.  We can't be giving up 88 points to teams like this.  Heck, we could win 1,047-88 and I still wouldn't be happy.  If we don't see that defense tighten up, I may feel worse than my wife.

I don't care if we win big, we should beat this team handily.  If we give up 80 points, none of us should be happy no matter the result.

I want to see ball movement and player movement off the ball.  I'd like to see us pass more and dribble less.  I want to see some actual effort on the defensive end.  I want to see us take care of the ball.  And for the love of all that is good I want to see us BOX OUT.

I mean, they're a sub-300 team who there is no reason we shouldn't blow out and arguably should be unable to tell us if our D is good or if they're just terrible. And we're coming off after a terrible loss. I'm not even a little surprised that people may not be really excited for it.

Yeah, I know what I'd like to see from the team tonight but I also realize there's not much we can really draw from a team of this caliber.
