This is what will happen. Bryant will commit to UK and be on the second line and make little impact. Maker will reclassify and will see that he can become godlike at IU and commit. We will win it all next year. At least this is my dream...

puke isn't the team we need to worry about for Thon.

The Shake has spoken---let it be true.

Shake is the wise man perched on a mountain top in Alaska. People used to make the treacherous journey there just to have one question answered. An enterprising young Hoosier brought broadband internet to that mountain top and pointed him to this forum. What a time to be alive.

How right you are! We just got broadband last year...So much better than satellite internet that we all are used to up here in the tundra.

How are things looking with Bryant?

No change in the last few days. Personally, I'd say they aren't looking too awesome.

It's pretty much a 3 horse race, IU, UK, and SU. He has taken 3 or 4 unofficial visits to UK and is taking his official there still. SU still thinks if Cal doesn't have room then he's been theirs all along. We could really use some good news about his standing with Indiana relative to the others. I don't know how we're going to beat out UK if he really wants to go there unless Cal simply doesn't have the room.

He'll decide in March, though hasn't said when in March. That means that A. We may know about Thon by then and B. We won't know about how many spots Cal will have by then. An interesting combo. Syracuse fans think that's good news for them because it means he isn't serious about UK.

Don't have that good a feeling about this recruitment, but this is the kid I want the most right now, even over Maker. Gotten to see him play live a couple of times and absolutely love him as both a system and need fit. Legit 6'10". Great, not good, rebounder both in area and out of area. Super competitive on D. Can hit the spot up 3 off screen action. Plus, might be the best rim running big I can remember seeing in High School. Got a serious crush on this kid's game. And I doubt he's a one year. Plug Bryant into what we assume we have coming back and I think we're top 5 next year.

As much as this absolutely kills me to say, it's actually a pretty nice recruiting move by Calimari. Bring him for a visit against 1 of his top 4. Then get his current team pumped/fired up to destroy them the way they did. I can't stand that guy

can you stand Izzo?

I think that one positive for Indiana is that it's moving away from being Mom's decision and becoming TB's. That has sort of been the word the last two weeks. I haven't been following articles and all that but, keep in mind, that even if she is being quoted in all those she is a fairly easily accessible direct source for reporters/journalists/bloggers so she will continue to contribute in those forums.

The scary side of Mom being less involved is that 18 year old's are very impressionable .

He's spending a lot of time around the Cats and all the bling. If we were really in this wouldn't he be wanting to hang at our games?

I understand wanting him over Thon but a few of things you name Thon Maker definitely does better. Thon is probably one of the best rim running big men to ever play the game honestly. He is basically Kevin Durant with post moves. I would be thrilled with either one but Bryant and Maker are two completely different players. I think either one takes us in the elite again. I just think landing Thon Maker would mark a huge shift in recruiting for us. If can land a top 5 recruit, I think we'll start landing more
