Walking Boot of Doom Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Also, this: "Emily James, a spokesperson for the NCAA, said she can't comment on specific or possible cases, but when investigations necessitate hearings, they involve at least one Level I or Level II violation. The hearing means Syracuse faces accusations of a "severe" or "significant" breach of conduct." JaybobHoosier, hoosierpap, IUsafety and 3 others 6 Quote

FortWayneHoosier Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 At this point in IU Basketball, I don't think we can pick and choose how we get 5 stars WIth you 100 %, I think at this point well take all we can get especially a kid that plays at the 5. I know its not the same exact situation, but i know right now IU fans and staff are loving James Blackmon Jr., I mean he decommited and recommited to IU, I dont think anyone even thinks about that at this point, they are just happy hes here to play. HoosierHoops1 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 This. I'd rather get him on our own merit, not because the other horse were racing pulled up lame. In a perfect world, of course, but, as in all races, when the lead horse does pull up lame, the horse subsequently crossing first still takes the prize. I doubt Xavior or West Virginia were considering not taking Holloway and Ebanks because Indiana had some issues. Happydaze and MikeRoberts 2 Quote

CampHoosier Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Does this apply to Lyle as well? hahah Lyle is a headcase that got denied admission at Oregon. Freaking Oregon. He may have 5 star talent, but in my opinion he would be a detriment to the team. A team that has a great GPA and seemingly good chemistry. If Cal backs off of a kid, that's a red flag Quote

iubirdman Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 OK I know that some will jump me for this, but I have to bring it up. Everyone talking about TB not going to Syracuse due to their scholarship situation (full and may be losing 1 or 2 on Monday), but are we not in the exact same boat, albeit for a different reason? We have no scholarships open for next season and already have 2 commits so we are in a worse situation than they are, are we not? I know, I know it will all work out, but for those that say we are looking better that SU due to scholarship situations, not sure how that can be (unless SU has commits already with none avail like we do and are in danger of losing some as well) FortWayneHoosier and rebelhoosier848891 2 Quote

iubirdman Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 So with the 13 limit they are effectively in the same boat we are for next year if they do not lose any next week correct? We have 13 with 2 commits so 15 for 13 scholly's and they have 11 with 4 commits so 15 for 13 scholly's Quote
