At least four or five of the turnovers in the first half were the Freshman forcing things up the middle of the floor on the break.  They adjusted at halftime, and I only counted about 2 all half until the bench mob came in.  Sure it was a bad team, but that second half was pretty damn impressive.

Goodness.. apparently we have to score 130 to quiet the grumps. That was an amazing 2nd half until the cleanup crew came in. Hoetzel is a player I would invest in. Make sure that dude is here when he is a senior and he will be a monster.

Hanner still concerns me, he just looked uncertain still. If he had half the ferocity Max has then he would destroy the boards, but you could see times when he didn't challenge players when he should have and could have won.

Just got back from the game.  Had a good time. Enjoyed watching our Hoosiers.  
 
However, some of our fans must have gotten a 4 games suspension for failed drug tests as well!

to weak at guard play huh? You watched a different game through your negative glasses than most of us did.

Reality isn't negative. Their small guards pushed ours around when the whistle didn't blow first half just like Big play. Your crimson glasses will come off real soon against better and stronger teams. Our guards are young except Yogi and he still plays like a frosh in many ways. Did you see his tackle on JB on the fast break? Plus his shot selection is still bad.

Welp, that was fun!!! Ball movement, great shooting. I know the comp was weak but who cares.

Takeaways
1. Yogi, Blackmon, Rob are really, really good.
2. Blackmon needs to tighten up his handles a bit.
3. I confess, I love HOW Rojo plays.
4. Can't believe Max's handles. A true recruiting steal. Playing point!?!
5. Priller has moxy. Seems to be in right spot at right time.
6. Walk ons are impressive too.
7. Z will be solid IF he doesn't dribble too much.
8. Hanner still has work, needs to grip that darn ball. Good rebounding though.

I am far from a grump, but points in a game like this are meaningless. This was one of the 5 worst D1 squads. Our shooting was great. The only thing I worry about is meeting a team that is physical. Also if we don't shoot exceptionally well do you see us winning regularly?

I did not know Max Hoetzel had that much game----I want to see if he can duplicate that in future games.

 

He's more than just a shooter----should have passed it off a few times---but at least he did something with it when he had it and is probably just hungry for more playing time.
