IUBB early signing period starts Nov. 12th

Not true whatsoever. We just talked about Knight kicking off three marginal players for pot, but allowing Woodson, Turner, and Tolbert to remain.

Indiana has zero chance at those kinds of players unless they are willing to play the game. Not the case under our coach. This won't change. And it's really sick how obsessed you are over Tom Crean. Your reality is that he is already no longer our coach. That is true delusion.

I'll take the high road on this much like a lot of our current roster which has been proven. You can keep speculating on the three you mention as all will be remebered with legit banners and Hall of Fame honors. Something Crean will never achieve here.

This doesn't even make sense.

in some cases I would agree. From certain posters I'd take it like that but previous experiences have steered me that direction.

Either way, I'm over it, but it's another note in the memory bank from how some posters treat other posters.

I never disparage others opinions. I don't attack the Pro-Crean camp ever. I state my opinions and assumptions and I "feel" I get attacked from the Pro-Crean camp.

It's a problem here and it's getting worse.

I don't even classify myself as a Anti-Crean because I truly recognize some of the great things he's done. But after these recent events, I think Crean's reputation is damaged nationally and for him to change that will be a major challenge.

I have not been calling for Crean's firing AT ALL, until this past month when all the transgressions were revealed.

Prior to that, I've loudly wondered why our recruiting fell off a cliff.

Was I pissed about sub patterns and inbounds plays? Of course. Did I call for his firing then? No, because he is human and can/will learn from mistakes.

Recent events are of a whole different and serious variety.

In reply to this:What are you even talking about? Is this posted in the correct thread?

If you had read the quote directly above it would make sense. See, this is exactly the crap I am talking about!

Why reply in that manner to me specifically without reading surrounding posts. Unreal.

Yo @UKCoachCalipari can you get someone to take my A100 midterm for me tomorrow? That would be very clutch.

Try UNC---- they don't even have midterms.  Just one paper at the end of the class!  Sorry couldn't resist!

Back on topic---I have to admit I am nervous about the delayed signings

Every day that goes by is another day another school is calling or texting them about all the IU crud.

I just want to see both Juwan's and OG's letters----- SIGNED--SEALED--and DELIVERED!  Go IU!

They are saying all the right things--I just hope they mean it!

It's a post ranting about Crean in the middle of a thread about recruit signing. Even the rant about personal attacks was pretty off-topic. Also, a different post. Why divide your post into two posts if they aren't two separate thoughts? I know every topic is destined to break down into petty arguing about the same things over and over again, but still.

Most threads delve into off-topic topics at some point. That has always been the case. I have noticed more personal attacks lately though. People should be allowed to defend themselves within a thread when such attacks occur. If not, it allows the attackers free reign to say whatever they please.

Have you never had a continued thought or need for clarification after sending post. Pretty harmless. They were back to back and fit together just fine.

IMO the name calling and personal attacks are a prevailing theme lately. When it happens it derails a thread immediately. I DID NOT go off topic until attacked. When called an Ass, i am going to defend myself wherever the location. Be sure of that.

I am happy to bring things back on topic as I didn't derail them in the first place.

I am a nice person, but man some of this stuff is so disrespectful. Fellow IU fans too. I am so disappointed with how people treat each other here, especially lately. This place was great when I first got here but the animosity is out of control.

I find this is becoming an increasingly unpleasant site to both post and read. Very unfortunate.

I appreciate it Laz. I am glad you see some of these things. People trying Jedi Mind tricks on me. Haha. I am far too smart for that. :)

Yeah, because people are too busy using it to complain complain complain rather than actually discuss everything. The devolving into stupid shit all the time is what makes this site worse and worse every day. Someone used the classic saying "you know what happens when you assume" they didn't call Wayne an ass or say he was dumb, they used a 50 year old joke. This is not the time to make a stand about personal attacks because of insecurities so intense that everything has to be personal.

I use the edit button, because that's what it's there for. And you did derail them in the first place. You weren't called an ass. Take a breath. Either way, harping on Crean AGAIN is not "defend[ing] [your]self". Take it to one of the hundreds and hundreds of topics already so derailed they'll never get back on track.

Anyway, on topic (if anyone forgot what it is here, it's about signing LOIs late), I'll be more worried about it if we hear anything to make it seem suspicious. Sure, we're nervous because Stevens flipped, but he had a visit and interest building before that, it wasn't out of no where. Have any coaches visited our recruits? Any new interest? They're smarter than acting like they were going to sign their LOIs and then not to do it. That would be the dumbest way to artificially keep us as a back-up school or something like that. If they're nervous about the turmoil, they wait until spring. If they are faking that they're going to sign it in the fall and will wait to spring then why bother?

insecurities so intense

Personal attack again. It's not insecurity. It's called respect. I am not petty enough to disrespect another person because of their views on a basketball coach. Big difference. I respect others and believe I should be granted the same in return.

Feel free to return serve but I'm done talking about it. I will be posting much less frequently going forward.

CAN'T WAIT!!!    not only does he have the basketball skills, but he seems like a nice guy too...  Really excited about his personal effect on and off the court for our team, and should be a really great freshman to have around.

Next time i'm walking around campus, i'm going to have laser focus on anything that has a high-top haircut.

Great post Scohutch. I also am extremely intrigued by OG. I'll admit all I've seen of him is one highlight video, but I think he has the frame and athleticism to become a really solid 3 guy for us. Let's hope he has the work ethic. Also, Jerry Meyer (at least I'm pretty sure that's who said it) labeled OG as the most athletic incoming freshman in the BIG.

no need to make things personal. I have a right to make assumptions if I choose. They aren't based on nothing. If you don't agree with them, ignore them.

I was not intending to offend, it's just the saying. I don't think it's safe or appropriate to assume that because they aren't signing the very first day they aren't eager to be Hoosiers. We have no reason to believe they aren't dying to put on the candy stripes and play under the lights of the Hall.
