JBJ - How Long?

I’m curious to see what the consensus is regarding JBJ. How long do we expect him to stay at IU? In a perfect world, he’s a 4-year starter and challenges Calbert for the B1G all-time scoring leader. Not sure we live in a perfect world any more.

I think he stays 2 years too----unless he just completely blows up and goes off this year.

 

Based on what I have seen so far----we better enjoy him while we have him because it will not be long!.

I think two years at the most. Gary Harris stayed two years and I think Blackmon Jr is way better than Harris was coming into college. I think it depends on this year. I could realistically see him averaging anywhere from 18-20 ppg. He makes it look so easy. He moves effortlessly. He can shoot the deep ball and take him man off the dribble. I saw him play a few times in high school and now Ive seen him play twice at IU and I can already see drastic improvement in his game

I hope we get 2 years out of JBJ. He’s probably more ready for the NBA than Cody was. But man, from a selfish perspective, I’d love to have him for more than that.

Shooting yeah he is better than Gary Harris. Defensively Harris brought a lot more to the table

Blackmon Jr is pretty good defensively. He has room to get better, but offensively he is ahead of Harris

I'll say 2 years. He has the talent, but he's an NBA tweener which will hurt his stock. He could be one and done, and I'm usually for guys leaving if they're ready, but I think it would be a mistake for JBJ to leave after 1 year.

I don't think it would happen, but an absolute dream would be Blackmon getting feedback that he needs to be a point in the NBA and he stays a 3rd year to be without Yogi for a year. A Steph Curry like junior year for JBJ.
