Is there any good reason for that? It isn’t like a transitioning team has an advantage unless they’re playing a bunch of D2s in the non-con to pad their win total.

They say to help the athletic department transition but it’s a load of crap.   Bellarmine is in year 4.   Next year they would be eligible.
