I've always felt the absolute worst way for a game to end is for a foul on the rebound leading to free throws the other way when the score is tied.

Well, he's got 22 pts and 7 rebs, so that's a decent condiment any way you spread it.  He did manage to commit 4 turnovers in the first half.

Good. Glad he got better. He and Mintz were the only kids who didn’t quit on that team last year. But, what I’m talking about is how he looks physically. He was never a great athlete, but his movement has deteriorated some, at least to me. He’s not running well. He requires more gather to get off the floor. He’s struggling some to change direction because, while he’s never been never much of a knee bender, he was playing virtually straight legged and bending at the waist. He was slow closing out. He just looks stiff to me. Maybe he has some back stiffness. Or, maybe I’m just full of crap and he’s fine.

Hummel will be the best color commentator in the game in a few years in my opinion.   Haven’t heard a broadcast yet that was bad and he improves every year.   Dude is a hard worker as well.  Works games left and right for both Espn and Big Ten Network

I like to have this thread going just to find out when some games get close.  I turned from the game with the Shockers were down 13.

I was thinking more about a home loss to Minnesota, many years ago, where we were holding for the last shot, it missed, and we got called for a push on the rebound with 1 second left, giving the Gophers free throws and the win. I think it was during the Mike Davis years. 

 

I just don't like seeing a game end on a foul 90 feet from the hoop. 

 

Maryland has this uncanny ability to be on the verge of losing to an inferior team, only to somehow survive. Seems like they win 2-3 games like this every year.
