IU was actually ranked higher at the time than North Carolina.    They had lost 2 in Portland before they came to IU

Only takes a North Carolina winning both home games against Duke and Virginia  to improve their metrics.   Add in a ACC tournament run and I wouldn’t be surprised if their numbers were back to the low 30’s

That drops them to 15–13.

Means Walton probably has them as a six seed in the NCAA tourney
