Because it's a relatively slow news day --

pUKe over Mississippi State 80-72.  Brooks only saw 5 minutes.  0-1 FG; 1 reb; 2 fouls.  Can't imagine this season has gone the way he or his family imagined it would.  In a small way I feel badly for him.

Did everyone see the postgame presser from Izzo last night after the loss to PSU where he went off on MSU fans posting things about his players on Twitter? I’ll leave a link below. The guy just seems like such a whiney baby. I get what he’s trying to do, be the protective coach that cares for his players like family and will stick up for them, blah blah blah. But it seems so phony. Come on Tom, first, your players are bringing their phones to you to show you the mean things anonymous people are posting on Twitter? Tell them to stop going on twitter and toughen up. Second, you sound like a grumpy old man. And one who hasn’t had an average team in a while, so he forgot how to lose with class and not deflect from the fact that you’re having trouble coaching a team with only one McD’s All-American. I don’t know, maybe I just never paid much attention to him, but I’ve seen him talk a few times this year now and just generally can’t stand the guy and how he talks.

Honestly I have never seen a worse loser than Izzo. He makes Calipari look positively lovable.

Interesting thread about Bruce Pearl and the Deon Thomas affair from a man called Bigten Geek. Dana O'Neil wrote a piece saying BP should be forgiven. I'm pretty sure he is an Illinois fan, but he is pretty accurate with what actually happened at the time.

Well clearly PU is unbeatable at home but fortunately they are terrible away from Mackey which is where we play them Saturday. Also shows Iowa is not this unbeatable force as people seem to think. Need to win both games this week.
