If we gave D-II or even D-III schools a fairer media deal and recognition in which their existence is acknowledged beyond "well, what schools can we replace?", then I think there wouldn't be this endless desire by schools to constantly rush up to D-I.  However, it also boils down to conference realignment, as conferences keep taking schools, and the lesser ones need replacements.

It also affects UIndy as it leaves them the only D-II school in the state.

UIndy won't have to worry about it much longer, they'll be bankrupt in 5 years

Wisconsin leads Michigan St 29-23 at the half.

Wisconsin started off with a strong running attack which opened up the passing game towards the end of the half. Michigan St tried to air it out but Wisconsin's defensive line was able to get to the quarterback without the need for blitzing. This allowed the secondary to play tight on the receivers; maybe getting away with a little holding.

Quad four loss, yes?  Could very easily have three more losses even without tripping up -- at Santa Calra, at Saint Mary's, home to Gonzaga.  None of those would be bad losses, but that would see them go from 19-5 to 22-9.

BTW, Santa Clara currenlty leading St. Mary's by 4 with two minutes left.

This was the end to the Auburn-Arkansas game. Contrary to what this dude writes, I DO NOT think it was the best thing I've seen this season ... Man, I get celebrating and storming the court, but jeez -- keep the lights on, and maybe chill with the fireworks. I don't think anything bad happened, but this had disaster written all over it.

I love court storms more than almost anyone, but whoever thought that this was a good idea is probably barely hanging on to their job this morning.

CAA does the same thing. It was once one of the top mid-majors for hoops (Remember VCU and GMU reaching the Final Four?) If a team says it is planning to leave, they block them from their postseason events. Did it to Old Dominion a few years back and I'm pretty sure is doing the same to James Madison now.

Slimy. Punishing the kids for a bunch of people at the top trying to line their pockets. The Horizon is making things worse by blocking CBB writers on Twitter which is just one of the strangest things I've ever seen.

I know this should probably go in the game thread, but didn't want to go there. I am fine withe loss last night. Based on how close the game was, I believe we would have won, if 5 players would have followed the rules. I agree with CJ's mom

60% of the conference is ranking 277 or worse on Pom, so they should be able to compete with the lower half pretty quickly.
