At least for awhile, they named Randolph Childress as the interim head coach.  He's been on the Wake staff for 9 years.  FWIW, Borzello thinks Miller or Steve Forbes are the most likely replacements.

 

Subsequently saw more info that not a single player Manning signed in '16, '17 or '18 are still with the program and played a role in his dismissal along with his overall record.

Just some interesting stats...
Wisconsin has beat us 29 times since 2000 and Indiana still holds an 82-41 since 49’-50’.

We’ve beaten Northwestern the most of any opponent where we are 92-27 since 49’-50’.

We have a losing record to 24 schools since 49’-50’.

Texas Rio Grand Valley, Northern Iowa, Ole Miss, Miami(FL), Loyola(MD), Lipscomb, Cleveland State, Clemson we are 0-1 against each.
Wake Forest and Villanova we are 0-3 against each. Those are the only 10 teams we haven’t been since then.

We are 1-5 against Syracuse. 1-3 against Boston College. 3-7 against Duke.
1-2 against Wichita State, IPFW, Pepperdine and Colorado.
3-6 against UCLA and UConn.
19-30 against Kentucky.
2-3 against Arkansas.
6-8 against Maryland.
7-8 against Louisville.
8-9 against Missouri.

We haven’t lost to 146 teams in that time span. The most wins coming against Ball State where we are 14-0.

Yep. Many have said they expect him to go through evaluation despite what was written in that article. No reason why he shouldn’t go through the process

Heard on some podcast that the traditional evaluations aren’t occurring because of the pandemic.  

Last I heard you can’t even do “virtual” workouts. This was the worst year to “test the waters.” Teams will be looking at you with what you did in college only and won’t get the looks they want in workouts.

Don’t know. I just know several teams wanted him to test the waters because they were very interested in him. Whatever the process turns out being there was teams that wanted him to do it.    Having said that I fully expect him back for next year

Not surprising. None of these kids have to have anyone leading them the right way. Just not the year to test the waters.

And to be fair to Tom Crean, although the kid played 2 seasons at Georgia; he was not a Crean recruit.
