GloryDays Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Just saw Denzel Valentine is out 2-3 weeks after a smallish knee surgery. Hope he heals quickly.Hate to see anyone hurt and they will not be close to the same team without him. IUsafety, LIHoosier, Hovadipo and 2 others 5 Quote
chitown hoosier Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 After the IU game, we "bootlegged" 4 seats 11 rows behind the Butler bench. Haas, Swanigan, and Hammons will kill us. Haas is an absolute giant. Butler played as hard as they possibly could and squeaked out the win. Our guards are much better than Purdue, but we will definitely live and die by the three for that one. They blocked and challenged everything that Butler took down low. I am glad we play at IU this year. It will take our Maryland game from last year to win. I think we need to live and die by the 3 this year. If not TB or TW, no one should be driving it into the lane against them. Our guards got swatted over and over again last year trying to penetrate their interior d. I'd rather see us just jack up 3s. At least that way they can actually get a shot up. Quote

That is how Butler beat them. They forced them out and Jones would do his unorthodox runner that somehow goes in. This is on a day where they had shut Dunham down. 1 more minute in that game though and I think PU pulls it out. Swanigan is the one that scares me the most. He can actually step out and hit the shots. The other two can't. I would put OG on him and let him go to town. So what if he fouls out. :) Quote

I'm really hoping the ND game was a turning point for the team. They saw what happens when you play selfishly and as a team. Really hope they take it to heart! IUsafety and mdn82 2 Quote

I don't think it happens.i could also see us under performing in the big 10 and get an 11 seed and making at least a sweet 16 run ( kind of like that NC state that had a lot of talent and under preformed until the tournament and then made a little run). Of course no matter what seed we get it will all depend on the matchup on whether we will advance Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Big blow for UConn, as C Amida Brimah will be out 6-8 weeks after surgery to repair a broken finger. Major defensive presence for Huskies. Quote

Miller'sTheMan Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Virginia is down 27-20 versus Cal at halftime... And no this is not a joke, their first half field goal percentage was 18.2%. Half of their points came from the free throw line. Quote
