It's the same thing that happened with Florida State's football team this year. Their opponents psych themselves out when it's close near the end of the game. And they play in arguably the worst of the power conferences and have struggled against mediocre competition. I believe someone will beat them in the tournament when they face a real team.

-Jameer Nelson's St. Johns team - dont remember what year

Jameer Nelson played for St. Joseph from 2000-2004. The 2003-2004 season they went undefeated in the regular season. Nelson and teammate Delonte West were both selected in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft.

Wow, this is actually a pretty solid comparison! kudos

yeah i have no idea why Cal didn't call a timeout... reminds me an awful lot of crean -.-

I don't know if what Cal does can really be called "coaching". For a "big time" coach, I don't think Ive ever heard a coach throw his own players under the bus as much as he does. He is another one of those coaches that is just constantly yelling at his players on the sideline. Dude looks like an idiot

I hate UK as much as any IU fan but "dude"'doesn't "look like an idiot".

He is likely cheating, but he is doing absolutely historic things. He is the king right now of the media and thus recruits. Nobody seems to be able to catch him. I can't stand him, but if anything, "he is looking like a genius". And I hate it!

I like all the posters assuring us that uk will lose at some point but truth is they r doing exactly what it takes to go undefeated in today's game. You won't blow every team out you have to find a way to pull out the close ones even if it takes double ot and a lot of luck. I think they will lose but they have r bad luck to turn to their good luck lol

Bringing in the recruits and everything he has done to be successful, I agree he has been a genius at putting the whole thing together. I don't know if you actually read my post but I was talking about how he continuously seems to throw his players under the bus and put the blame for anything on them combined with the way he yells at his players during games makes him look like an idiot. Thats what I was referring to...

The reason why Im not impressed with their season like I wasn't with Wichita State last year is that both play in weak conferences. Kentucky has played a few ranked teams and won,  but other than that, their conference is made up of nobodies. Florida is usually good but this year they are terrible as well. If Kentucky played in the ACC, Big Ten, or Big East, they most likely would've lost a game or two by name

I agree but until the loss I am scared

What early game will BtownBanners posters be following tonight heading into the only game that really matters at 9:00? I have a self-imposed ban on watching Syracuse basketball so I'll be tuning into the tOSU-Penn State game.

I just noticed that Matta strongly resembles W.C. Fields. Were they separated at birth and across time? I think so.

Watching Kansas St and WVU during class right now. I might turn on the Sycamores at 8:00, then hope for early dismissal to get home in time for us. Worst case, I fire up BTN2Go for the last 45 minutes and book home after.

I think the surprise is they're squeaking out 2 pt wins against teams that they're 5 times more talented than at every position. That would be my opinion as well.
