I always felt his offer was used to get Zeller here.

If that's the case it was a great offer.

I'm sorry but Austin Etherington is not that good of a player. Kinda wondering why he ever got a scholarship to IU. He's a below average defender and an average shooter.

The dynamics of that time period caused a lot of 'misses' and the uniqueness of the situation is still causing problems now. It'll get rectified, I believe, in '15 and with '16's recruits.

Wait Smart is Dakich's second choice? Why? Does he want an extremely overrated coach to be brought in. The guy has one deep run in the tournament, and other than that they've been at the top of a mediocre conference. I really don't get the love for Smart.

 

Edit: Also, the havoc defense is quite frankly overrated itself. It is good, but nowhere near as good as some want to make it out to be. Their adjusted defensive, according to Kenpom, is 72nd in the nation

I was sorry to see Butler lose----they will be in a foul mood when they play us.

 

We need to beat a quality team-----and the game with them is certainly winnable.

 

It's time for a Hoosier W to start turning the corner for a better then predicted season!

I'm not too worried about Butler, they weren't good last year. They beat UNC this year (who are also terrible) but thats about it.

On the Stevens story, I like the success that Stevens had with Butler, but I honestly see it being very hard to lure him away from the Celtics. Money talks. He has it easy in the NBA because the Celtics were terrible when he took over and there are no real expectations of success so he can have a terrible team and not get much heat over it. 

The article is making something big out of basically nothing. I don't think Boston is all that worried.

Butler didn't look that good tonight. Left the lane open a whole lot. Our problem will be that UT played way tougher defense than we have all year. Maybe better than we're capable of

To me Gonzaga is usually overrated on a weak west coast----but I have watched them a couple times this year and I think they are legit---and better than usual!

 

Looks like another easy 30 plus win season for them.
