Just one of the reasons I’m so happy that Indiana is dominant in college football, not college basketball. Ain’t no pro league players gonna dominate a team in football. Because in college football this just can’t happen. In football, at most it’s a 27-year-old punter from New Zealand.

Can’t go there, just can’t, but with what’s happening in CBB Miami fans whining about Nowakowski and Benson and Moore is positively quaint in comparison.

Good one in the crown final. Oklahoma up 3 over West Virginia with 7 min to go

300 K for the winner.   Oklahoma up 2 with 2 min to go

The Tulsa Auburn game was crazy. Tulsa was this close to upsetting the Auburn Tigers!

Can't believe Tulsa took a 5 second call when they had a timeout. College coaches are always over-coaching at the end of games and using timeouts when they don't need to. Weird to not see that happening here.

Awesome pull for them IMO

I see it as a big miss.  All the other guys must of said no including McCollum and Byington.  NBA guys just have a horrible track record in college.  He has zero ties to NC.  Anyone could win big with the Joker.  Will be interesting to see what happens.

Woah.  Out of nowhere hire.

Could work.  Could not work.  Not sure NBA guys are the answer in CBB, even in this era.  We’ll see.

Totally, will be interesting to see what happens. Wouldn't call it a grand slam HR, but a lot to like IMO:

-Recent NBA success should resonate with recruits

-Carolina definitely has the resources and infrastructure to support him in a quasi pro style operation

-Based on how it ended, he probably has a chip on his shoulder and feels like he has something to prove

From Carolina's perspective, I'd think even if it doesn't work out, you have peace of mind knowing you went for the prestige hire of a recent NBA champion than tried to take a guy like McCollum from D2 NW Missouri State to Chapel Hill in the span of four years.

Credit to their AD for thinking outside the box if nothing else IMO

Kinda saved a PR disaster with this hire but it definitely wasn’t what their intentions began with.  It’s a TBD but can easily see a path to be excited about it.

It’s definitely going to be an experiment at  UNC. I wonder how his work relationships will go, since that was a major problem when he was at the Nuggets.
