I think this is way overplayed. Either way you have to beat Golden State. He is going to go to where he best thinks he has the best chance to do that.

I don’t understand why no one is mentioning the Pelicans.

Out west have to beat them and the rockets probably

Summer of LeBron part 3.

I really want him to leave Cleveland! There’s 2 reasons, primarily.

1.) get him out of the east (I’m a Pacers fan)

2.) I cannot stand the Warriors and want him to join with Houston, or form a formidable squad, out west, to dethrone GS.

I don't think LeBron joining Houston would put Houston over the top. Paul and Harden both need the ball. LeBron would also need the ball. Does LeBron shoot the 3 well enough to fit? Also, does it automatically become the LeBron show?

If LeBron wants more titles I think he needs to go somewhere he is a piece in a good system not the system conforming to him. Golden State, Boston, and San Antonio all come to mind as that type of system.

I think the favorites to land LeBron right now is LA. After that, I think Cleveland and Philadelphia are tied for second. But SA and Boston present interesting options. I'd love to see a Murray, Green, Kawhi, LeBron, Aldridge team challenge the Warriors.

To me, he would need to bring two all stars with him (PG and Kawhi?) to make LA feasible.

They just don't have enough firepower currently for James to plug in and compete with Golden State.

It would certainly need to be two all stars, I agree. I'm not even sure Chris Paul, Paul George, and LeBron would be enough to beat the Warriors. Crazy. That's why I would like to see him pair with a good coach for the end of his career and with another SF such as Kawhi to lessen the defensive burden on players like KD

OG and the Raptors have a new head coach.  From barstoolsports.com

Toronto Raptors Take Weeks Just To Decide To Promote Nick Nurse To Head Coach

Honestly? I’m not quite sure what took so long. The moment the Raptors fired Dwane Casey there were really only two options for them to hire that made sense. One was promoting Nick Nurse to head coach. The other was moving Jerry Stackhouse from the Raptors G League affiliate to head coach of Toronto. That’s it.

Stackhouse just joined the staff in Memphis yesterday so it was announced today that the Raptors are promoting Nick Nurse. He’s spent the last five years as an assistant for Casey and before that spent six seasons as a head coach in the G League. He was the G League Coach of the Year in 2011 with the Iowa Energy and won two titles – one with the Energy and one with the Rio Grande Vipers.

Nurse is known as an offensive-minded coach, with a large appreciation for what he did in helping Lowry and DeRozan grow into All-Stars. He’ll have pretty much the same team as he worked with last week – with the big questions being 1) do they resign Fred VanVleet and 2) do they trade either Lowry or DeRozan? Either way, this hrie is the one that made sense, I’m just not entirely sure what took so long.

To me, the most polarizing player in this draft is Michael Porter Jr. Apparently, cancelled a workout yesterday because of a hip issue. It sounds a lot like Embid all over again. But he has turned out pretty well? The flip side is you invest a top 5 pick in this guy and he just can't hold up through an 82 game season. I see him going anywhere in mock drafts from 2-15.  He has a workout today for a number of teams including the Kings at #2.

I'd be amazed if he doesn't go top 10. Too much of a talent for that many teams to pass on

I agree. 6"10 that can handle the ball and shoot. He's built a lot like KD. If he drops, the only explanation is that doctors were 'concerned' with how he will hold up. Otherwise, I agree top 10 for sure. Would love to see the Mavs take him at #5.

I think the Mavs take Bamba if he's there. If not, I think MPJ would be very interesting. Who do you think they take?

I'd say the jury is still out on Embiid.. There's no question that he's a talented player, but he has only played 94 games in four seasons. We need to see if he can hold up for 2-3 seasons first. I would absolutely take the risk on Porter though. If it doesn't work out then whatever lottery team that picked him will just have another chance when they end up in the lottery again next year.

All the mocks I see have them taking Bamba or Jaren Jackson based on the fact that they don't have any bigs. Dirk is basically done at this point. However, most of the mocks have Porter before. It will be an interesting choice if he is still on the board at 5!

Yes, so far they have gotten 1.5 healthy seasons out of him but he's exactly that type of player that teams may use as a gauge for Porter when deciding if he is worth the risk. Just a rare blend of size, shooting ability, ball handling etc. I agree I would go Ayton #1 for sure and maybe Bagley #2 but after that I think you have to really consider taking this guy.

I think Doncic is the real deal. He is probably the most accomplished 19 year old basketball player ever
