Hold on, your solution is to bring in people who play pick up in the Hyper?

For practice players which is what a lot of our scholly guys end up being. You're not tying down a scholarship for one year and running him off the next. Some of our project centers would get abused there. Have you ever witnessed any of the games?

Nationally regarded recruits have to be vetted better, but the local guys at the hyper are just fine to bring in.

As practice players sure. Better than using all your schollies on St. Marys recruits where some of the ones you would fine there were probably higherrecruits with better offers.

I'm all about debate and I dislike the April and Priller additions as well. But we have literally beaten this horse to death, resurrected it several times, and beaten it again. First off, there is no "practice squad" there is only "walk on players." So if you're suggesting we keep scholarships open and just add walk on kids from HPER, you better pray no one gets injured. Priller and April could absolutely school any kid in the HPER or anywhere else on campus.

I play at the hyper as well, and let me tell you priller and April would not school a majority. Hollowell played there last year at the end of the year and the team I played on beat him twice in a row. So no, they wouldn't be schooling everyone at the hyper. And I don't mean to come off as rude, just throwing in my 2 cents (sorry for getting off topic as well)

How good was his team? Because I saw Sheehey and a bunch of flabby frat bros demolish the eventual 5 on 5 intramural champs. Will dunked at the end and got kicked out. It wasn't even close. One of the players (Sean Esposito) transferred and played at IUPUI and another player was 6'7" and had scholarship offers from Iona and UIC

"Sheehey and a bunch of flabby frat bros" would be an excellent name for a rock band.

His team was alright, didnt have any d1 caliber players besides him but our team had no1 that had offers to play ball anywhere. I figured as a top 100 recruit (hollowell) coming out of high school he would impress more but I was very underwhelmed. Much more suited for lower D1 imo and that's right where he is now. Let's not compare sheehey to April and Priller though lol

This is getting ridiculous.  Are some of you really now suggesting kids at the Hyper deserve a spot over Priller and April?  (Funny how it's no longer Holt or Z3)-----LOL!  I hope Priller and April find out your identities and meet you in a dark alley and....well you know the rest!

I was at IU for 7 years and played in the Hyper all 7 years---there were virtually no 6'9 or 7'0" players there. I am sure it's not that much different today.  Everybody was griping that we had no height so Crean added some and now they're not talented enough even though they haven't even played a game yet and one has been injured. Come on people-- Priller and April were recruited for their height and specialties----good grief this Board gets more ridiculous every day.

If Priller and April are reading these posts---and I pray they are not---not all of us feel this way. Get a grip people!

Quit acting like we're Purdue!

Everyone is talking about OG like he is some freak athlete and perhaps he is, I just don't see it.

If he were on the team this year would he even be top 5 in terms of athleticism? Speed, quickness, vertical?

Maybe not right away, or even through most of his first year... but that type of player that's just oozing natural athleticism will explode after some formal training (especially from Je'ney) and some more conditioning at the college level.

You're saying THE MAJORITY of the kids at the Hyper are relatively equal with Priller and April?

OK---maybe the dark alley comment was over the top---but day ---after day--- after day--- the posts turn into--blah blah blah--- Priller this or Priller that---suggestions he is gone after this year--- or ought to transfer--or he's gonna get creaned---all before he even gets to play a game for his dream team.

I am frankly sick of it. I deliberately tried a post with some shock value to see if we could press the reset button on all of the crud that's being spouted about Priller--one of OUR players.

You don't think he's worthy---we get it!  But--he's here people---and I can't think of one thing he has done to deserve any of this.

I may be old school---but this is not the way we ever treated any of our new players in the 80's or 90's--it's a shame.

IU did not recruit prillers in the 80s and 90s

And who is treating him poorly? "He is transferring after this year, it was agreed upon with he and the coaches and it is a better situation than playing 4 years at incarnate word"
