OT: UNC academic scandal continues...

Pretty sad isn't it? Anyone remember TrustinRoy, that old hack from the Scout boards who used to hang around our site and play nice? He's saying "sources" are telling him McCants only did the interview because he was paid to say the things he said and is completely broke. 

 

 

UNC is quickly moving up the ranks of programs I want to get hammered into oblivion. They're now in 3rd place on my hit list, behind Kentucky basketball and Ohio State football.

McCants attended zero classes and probably learned as much, or more than I have so far in college.

I would venture to guess that no matter what classes you are taking you are learning significantly. Living independently, functioning socially, gaining and respecting responsibilities, and how to party Wednesday through Sunday. ;)

There was a time I always rooted for UNC against Duke. I'm honestly embarrassed to think I was rooting for players who cheated their way through college and are desperately trying to cover it up.

If I was an undergrad who didn't play sports but majored African American studies, I'd sue the university. It makes their degrees worthless .

IMHO, Roy Wiliams has known what has been going on at that school.

Roy Williams was busted before, giving gifts to graduating players at Kansas.  This was a clear NCAA violation which was one of many reasons his program was put on NCAA probation for Lack of Institutional Control in 1996.  Dude has a history of cheating.  Time to wipe him out of the sport.

Let's not forget this wasn't happening when Dean Smith was coach. He is known for running a clean program and having a high graduation rate for his players with 96.6% of his athletes receiving their degrees.
