(2015) SG Shake Milton to SMU

Recommended Posts

Seems to be some serious family stuff making him lean towards home. IU is not a longshot and certainly would not count them out but like I said before...

It's the conundrum when recruiting high-character kids.

They don't have handlers; they have families that they're extremely close to.

Those families want to be near them.

James Blackmon was assigned to Shake today. Sat right next to the players. Everyone talked to Shake, but the coaches specifically told James (and RoJo) to sit next to Shake. However, I'm sure Troy talked to Shake as well. Just by observing, I can definitely tell that Troy is a people's person. :)

Okay so I see that they put the freshman on recruits. Ohhhhh I see that's how they do it. Lol

They just understand that Troy is busy studying and doing other things that would make his momma proud.

You can't miss a day of school? I missed a day of school for an unnofficial visit when I was in high school.

I feel like being official is what would change that. But, I mean I don't know. It just feels like the kind of thing that would be a rule. Otherwise you highlight the athlete half of student-athlete too much.

All seniors, athlete or not, can miss a few days if it is for a college visit. Hard to get a college visit in on weekends.

That was my thought too. Seniors would miss a day here and there to visit schools, athlete or not, when I was in school too.

I graduated from high school quite a while ago, but ths is how I remember it. I think I missed 3 or 4 days for college visits my senior year, and I was certainly no athlete.

Oh that's not a pollen with me using the freshman because he does need to study and get his academics great. They are already really good but I like GPA OF 4.0. I know that's a bit much, but he is already carrying a 3.2. Just a little more studying will do it.

I feel like this kid will go to Oklahoma. We are so crowded with scholarships and he has some lean to stay home. Plus Oklahoma has a good coach in Lon Kruger and a decent basketball program. Although basketball in Bloomington is a different feel than basketball in Norman. Kevin Wilson could explain that better to him.
