ESPN's Joe Lunardi thinks Crean will be Fired...

Well, he doesn't exactly say this, but his first 2015 Bracket attempt came out today and the Hoosiers are not included.

LOGIC:
A: Lunardi says no IU in tournament.
B: No IU in tournament equals Crean Fired.
C: Therefore, Lunardi thinks Cream will be fired.

I'd agree, if we don't make the tourney next year, which right now I don't expect, then Crean needs to be replaced.

I also agree but it takes us back to the question of why wait then? Is it the buyout, one last chance, or no good candidates to replace him at this point? I go with the latter and just hope Glass is already reaching out and making contacts now so that a relationship can be developed over a year and get your best man. Stevens would be the obvious choice after the long year 2 in the NBA. Glass has to also be under an immense amount of pressure because of the unbelievable contract.

It's April 10th. We aren't even a week removed from the end of the season. These predictions are before the deadline for declaring for the NBA is up. I take absolutely zero stock in this thread or the bracketology at this point.

Personally, I'm confused about him having Michigan as a 1 seed, but Duke as a 2 seed... Does he realize that Duke is stacked next year and that Michigan is likely losing two (three if you include McGary) key players?

I dunno. I saw it maybe ten minutes after you posted it last night. At the time I'm thinking he meant this as a joke but all it will turn into is another bash Crean thread. I'm not really sure how anyone who has spent any time on this IU board or any other board could think it would do otherwise.

Duke's recruting class is stellar. Probably one of the best K's put together in his career. I think they will be extremely tough to beat and should be the class of the ACC.

[/quote]Unfortunately the majority of fans feel Crean's future at IU is short. Every board is a bi-product of that now. Until he shows otherwise it will continue to be that way unfortunately.

I'm not basing my opinion off of what Lunardi is projecting, I'm just stating that if we miss out on the NCAA tournament 2 years in a row, then he's not the coach we need to run this program.
