I fart in the general direction of this thread.

Not often a thread starts in the direction this one did, and take the turn this one did.  Lol, I will take that any day of the week.

Didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I would post this question here....

Do you suppose Johnny Marlin is having second thoughts since IPFW is playing for the Summit Championship tonight.
If they win they're in the NCAA.

This is supposed to be funny but oh my .......the irony.

Go Hoosiers!

For some, playing in the Cream and Crimson is an absolute honor. Top of the totem pole. Nothing can even get close to being as incredible. If it was me, I wouldn't regret it. Not even a little bit. He is living thousands....millions of people's dreams right now. That's how I look at it.

Simple answer.  No, and I can say that as 100% accurate.

Nothing against Doc but I doubt she knows what's actually going on in a situation like this.

I am from this area.  I do some side stuff in the History department at IPFW.  He is not regretting his decision.

You mean because of the school/area? Or inside info?

Basketball players take courses in this department a lot actually.  H105 and H106 is a required course in quite a few degrees.  People understand I am a huge IU fan by the end of the course.  I know he is not regretting his decision.  His credits transferred.  He went from scholarship to walk-on.  The IPFW campus isn't exactly Bloomington.  Players keep in touch as much as they can.  Not often obviously, but enough.

Yeah I wouldn't be regretting it at all if I were him. Doesn't get any better than Bloomington.

Probably as much as Cody Zeller was supposed to have second thoughts after Butler went on to shoot 18% in the national championship game.

Luke announced transfer was on 12/30/13.... Jeremy played on 1/4/14 and then began his suspension after that...

I am on the fence about this whole story which is why I was putting it out there to see if anybody else had ever heard anything like it.... I feel like it would explain some of our on-court issues but not sure about the truth.

Is it possible the staff didn't find out about it until after the MSU game? The team had a whole week off between the MSU home game and the 1/11 game at PSU.

I'm not saying I think this happened. My gut feeling is Fischer was homesick and his enabling parents coddled him all the way back to Wisconsin.

As far as chemistry goes, I'll share what I've heard:

There are some great relationships on this team. The freshman LOVE the freshman (Luke & Collin kind of left out but hang with AE). The sophomore class LOVES the sophomore class. Our juniors and seniors aren't really classes at this point anymore.

There are plenty of great relationships, but they seem to stick to their class more often than not. THAT is the main difference between our old team and this one.

Oh great. They're not only racist (white boys hanging with white boys) but they also engage in more class prejudice than British aristocrats.
