Hoosiers jumping from ADIDAS to Jordan Brand??

Recommended Posts

I don't give a crap if it's Adidas, Nike, Sketchers, Keds, Chuck Taylors, or flip flops.  I literally couldn't care less.  The logo on the shoe doesn't make a bit of difference and absolutely won't make us play better.  Adidas hasn't seemed to hurt us much in recruiting either, unless you count Trey Lyles's dad having a sickening love affair with Nike.

It actually might make us play better to a point.  You look good, you feel good, you feel good, you play good.  I'm sure there's some sort of psychological evidence somewhere haha

I've heard that, but I remember when I was on a football team and we got nice new uniforms and didn't make a bit of difference in how we played.

So is there any substance to IU possibly switching or is all this based on some guy designing Jordan's with and IU logo on it then Troy Willams tweeting it?

The guy's got a point...   lol

Most times that means UA.  They tend to push drastic uniform design.  Don't think that would go over well here.

I don't care how much Nike or Jordan pays, I say bring em.

ND is switching to UA. I would imagine that if ND can switch to them, IU would not have a problem. Just because it is UA, does not mean they would wear ridiculous looking jerseys. ND jerseys are going to be SLIGHTLY changed from years past, but it won the first time ND has had slight changes in there uniforms.

I think this is all pointless though. I really hope IU switches to Jordan or Nike, huge upgrade from Adidas in my opinion.

Back farther in the thread, 41 said he had some sources saying we very well could be switching over sometime soon since the adidas contract is almost up. The picture from Troy just got the thread started again.

I just looked to see what other NCAA basketball teams are sponsored by Jordan Brand.   I had NO idea it was such a select and minimal group...

I don't know much about fresno, but I like all the other teams.  Would be good company if we were to get a deal with the Jumpman.

College Basketball[edit]

(p.s. we destroyed Oakland last season, but really impressed at how they like to schedule opponents. One of the toughest non-conference schedules every year for them)

One name comes to mind when talking about sleeve length. AJ Moye! Dude always had a nice jumper and always wore sleeves to his elbow.

While of course your shoe/gear brand has very little to do with play on the court, IMO a benefit could come with cross-promotion opportunities if Vic and/or Zeller really do blow up in the NBA. I'm sure there would then be a little benefit to Jordan Brand to publicize both entities, The player and the connection to IU.

OT: Apparently he still does a lot of stuff with Fresno State, holds a number of events for their basketball program. Which is pretty cool

At the very least, it's a good idea to try and create a bidding war between Adidas, Nike, Under Armour, etc.

I like Nike, Adidas is definitely improving, but please please PLEASE not Under Armour. I'd rather have Russell than UA.
