Meaning behind user name:  I live in Indy and my nickname is Hutch.

Approximate Age and Location:    Late 20's plus 30 years. I live on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Are you a born and raised IU fan?  No. I lived in Southern California until I was 28.

When you first knew you were an IU fan?  Moved to Indiana in 1986 and went back to school at IUPUI. At that time we could get student season tickets to IU basketball. So for five bucks a seat we went to most of the home games and that was the '87 national championship season. Pretty good introduction to IU basketball.

What sports did you play in High School and College?   Basketball and Baseball in high school. Cross Country early on until I got smarter.

Besides IU, favorite sports teams?   Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Indianapolis Colts.

Did you attend IU?   My degree is from the IU School of Journalism but I got it at IUPUI.

What is your favorite IU Basketball Memory?   Had to be 2002 and being the lead writer from the Indianapolis Star covering the Hoosiers in Atlanta. We had eight reporters at the Final Four but I was running the show and handing out assignments. I even got to tell Bob Kravitz what to do (to a point).

Who is your favorite basketball player of all time?    Magic Johnson but Ivan Renko would be a close second.

What is your favorite IU Football memory?  Austin Starr's field goal to beat Purdue in 2007 in the Play 13 season for Hep.

Who is your favorite IU Football player?   Antwaan Randle El. Anthony Thompson would be a close second.

Best IU Sports game ever attended?   Probably IU beating Duke in the Sweet Sixteen in 2002. Beating Michigan to win the outright Big Ten title in Ann Arbor in 2013 is right up there, too.

What brings you to this board?  A great opportunity and an invitation from Jason Eadie to try to help take this site to the next level. My experience in the end with Scout left a bad taste in my mouth but in many ways I feel as if I've experienced a rebirth here.

Name is Josh Wilson - hints the username lol

Born and raised in Terre Haute, IN

Spent my first year of college at Indiana State, working out and rehabbing an ACL injury. Received a basketball scholarship at a JUCO school and off I went.

I've been an IU fan since day 1. Runs very deep in the family. A lot of favorite moments in IU basketball history. I've been to a lot of great games. The 2002 sweet 16 game against Duke will always be a favorite, the WatShot definitely.

Oladipo has to be one of my favorites, along with Bracey, AJ Moye.

I now reside north of Lafayette. Wrong part of the state unfortunately. Mid 20's.

I used to be a contributor to the site early on. A 15 month old daughter, another on the way, and a new job kinda some time away from writing topics on here. But I'm always on here surfing in the forums. The best site out there for sure! So glad to be apart of the Btown family!!

Lastly, had to get a new Twitter... Followed a lot and had a strong following from Btown members.. @WilJos3390 is the new handle. Give me a follow! I'd like to reunite with former followers and new ones! The Twitter convo is always good on game night and during the season!!

Thanks to all for making this the best IU sports site!

@WilJos3390

Exactly what I was thinking. Definitely hoping to make it to a football and basketball game this year. Would really like to do a tailgate.

I think we should definitely pick a date to do a BtownBanners tailgate at a football and basketball game this year. How fun would that be?!!! Probably a lot of fun lol!

SixSigma - Why is that my name? Because my name on Scout is Battlinbob and I just wanted to hang out incognito and see how this place was for a while before deciding to jump in. Seems like a decent place. Looking forward to participating.

NOW it's a party! We finally meet again good sir. :)

Meaning behind user name:  Was a DA to Kelley, took my first semester of business classes and realized a degree in it is not what I wanted. Couldn't stand A100. Took Journalism classes and loved it. Now probably going to major in strategic communications/PR/journalism (undecided) and minor in management from Kelley.

Approximate Age and Location:  19 and from New Jersey

Are you a born and raised IU fan?  My original college sports love is a couple hours north of Bloomington in South Bend. Still to this day a huge Notre Dame football fan. My grandfather and great uncle went there, dad verbally committed to Dan Devine before having a knee injury in his senior year of high school and getting the offer pulled. Die hard ND fan. Also loved Duke basketball growing up, my father is a huge sports fan and instilled a love of football basketball and baseball in me from birth. He loved the way Coach K ran his program at the time. My dad also loved Bob Knight and would often tell me stories about him/read his books. I eventually read those books and was a fan of Knight before I was a fan of IU. Always had a fondness for IU and some cousins went there during the 70s championship years, so at family reunions they encouraged me to look there. I visited campus and was sold.

When you first knew you were an IU fan?  After I visited it was my clear cut first choice.

What sports did you play in High School and College?   Football, basketball and baseball.

Besides IU, favorite sports teams?   Notre Dame football. Not a huge fan of pro sports.

Did you attend IU?   Currently do.

What is your favorite IU Basketball Memory?   My favorite moment was the first time I walked into Assembly Hall. The court took my breath away. As a college basketball junkie, I've thought of Assembly Hall as a mecca of the sport. It did not disappoint. As far as actual moments, the Pitt game was pretty great. I was in GA and Emmitt Holt had his coming out party.

Who is your favorite basketball player of all time?   J.J. Redick no doubt.

What is your favorite IU Football memory?  The Penn State game. We didn't win, but the defense played well if I remember correctly. Plus a lot of my friends go to PSU so there was some good natured ribbing going on.

Who is your favorite IU Football player?   Tevin Coleman. Beast.

Best IU Sports game ever attended?   IU vs Pitt at Assembly Hall. Had tickets to SMU which I couldn't go to because of a flight home, and Maryland because my girlfriend and I had long standing plans to go to a concert in Chicago. Still kicking myself in the butt for that one

What brings you to this board?  No better place for serious IU athletics discussion

I know what you mean about the Scout board. That was my biggest frustration in two years at Scout. There was no one there and yet management expected us to interact all the time. I found myself going to Big Ten opponents' boards and seeing if I could answer IU questions over there. Very sad actually. Being over here as truly been a breath of fresh air.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I'm sure the overwhelming majority would agree that we're very glad to have you.  You've already provided some excellent insight into IU sports not to mention questions you've thrown out that have led to still further discussion and comment from this august body of IU sports nuts. Keep it comin'!
