Indiana vs UConn Post Game Thread

so what are you saying?

I'm saying Hollowell shouldn't be playing a lot of minutes until he can play smart and on his toes. Troy Williams should've been in the game down the stretch he was the best athlete on the floor.

Why not Marlin? You got something against him now?

Yeah, it is just him and Wayer got to share time cause they are each too good. One more thing, everybody talks about loosin Victor, Cody, and c-wat but what about showin some love for Raphael Smith. Kid was too good. Like he was a walk-on that could dunk.

Two thoughts.

1. Why did Tayler Wayer not travel instead of Jeremy?

2. Why did Johnny Marlin not start for Jeremy?

Hey can you help me out? I'm new here and haven't figured out how to ignore people yet. Thanks.

Uconn played really solid defense on our weave at the top of the key. Noah got an education tonight, has to be on the court to make an impact. I think don't think he will get called for a moving screen again any time soon.

so what are you saying?

I already said it the game would've been a completely different outcome if Vonleh wasn't in foul trouble...

Very disappointing game. Hoosiers played awful, and still almost beat the number 18 team in the country away from Assembly Hall.

If Vonleh plays more than 30 seconds, I think we would've won.

Time to bench Hollowell. Devin Davis a better defender, rebounder.

Shabazz Napier is a stud.

We grew up tonight, and I feel bad for Evansville.

You've lost all credibility.

Man what a game! The Hoosiers played that bad and still only lost by 1 to the 18th ranked team in the country with Noah on the bench most of the night. This game will go a long way in preparing us for a run in March. Optimism should be very high for this squad. I cannot Name 25 better teams than indiana after tonight. I know some people are going to call me crazy but by the end of the year i believe this team has a shot to be better than last years squad. This team has way more depth, has a lot more size, and also is a lot more athletic. Yes Jeremy is struggling but I don't think you can just park him and forget about him. He is going to be a key experienced player on this team come end of the year and he needs to get right back out there and find his comfort zone. The kid has so much talent but the game seems a little fast for him and I'm not sure why. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

They can go ahead and call me crazy too. Crazy potential on this team.

I think this team stands a good chance to outperform last year's team in the post season, but I'm not sure they can be better.  Our depth is amazing this year, we are extremely athletic, but we are very young.  Hopefully we can keep having guys step up like they did tonight (Davis) to fill the voids for guys who drop the ball (JH, NV).   The only thing that scares the living crap out of me is our PG play.  Yogi is amazing, but what happens when he gets in foul trouble?  What happens when he has a bad game?  What if he gets banged up?

Our depth does not include the PG position... and that's the position that makes this offense move and operate well.  I'm excited for our potential, but I'm bringing it back because I'm nervous about our backup PG play.

Would definitely have to agree with you 41 on the point guard position. I think Stan could do a nice job with more experience but seems like crean is having a hard time finding him minutes. So far my favorite player on this team is Devin Davis. I love watching this dude play he is the ultimate scrapper.

Agreed.  I think Davis will be a consistent player for us.  The other freshman will all be good, and have some Huge games a la Williams against Washington.  I've been very impressed with Davis.

I mentioned it earlier, but I think it needs to be said again, Shout out to Austin Etherington.  He really stepped up today and played a solid game.  We needed a spark and he provided one for us.  Hope he gets some more time on the court this season.
