Indiana vs Washington Post-Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Yogi had a quiet 20 was overshadowed by Williams and Vonleh but I was most impressed with his game management tonight only had 1 turnover towards the end of the game? Did not expect them to drop 100 man this team can score and score fast. Better rest up for tomorrow because I think they are going to bring it to UCONN.

I also know that Washington isn't the cream of the crop opponent but they play in a big conference and it was nice to see indiana dominate like that against someone other than poop state. Optimism should be high. Great group of freshmen.

Happy about this game, but UConn isn't Washington. Napier and Boatwright are the real deal. Have to play as well if not better than tonight to pull it out.

If we can slow down Napier and Boatright, we should win tomorrow. UCONN has no one to slow down Vonleh, so he should dominate and easily put up a double-double.

Thought 1: Hollowell should be benched, shoots a horrible FG% and is a TO machine, and be replaced with Stan or Devin

Thought 2: We shot 30-36 from the line

Thought 3: Troy was extremely good

Thought 4: We have to play better defense against UCONN. Especially in the paint.

Thought 5: Hanner and Luke both looked pretty awful on defense (Luke did have that one nice block however)

If he wants to, Hollowell can become the best player on the team and one of the best players in the nation. So much potential, but key word is potential.

I do think Hollowell will be benched for Stan Robinson at some point.

Jeremy struggled last night, we've seen it before.  He has a world of potential, just seems to be out of control much of the time. Some kids just don't put it together as quick as others. I'm sure he's just as frustrated as everyone else is. It just takes time, patience, and confidence on his part. He'll get there.

Screaming won't help.

I think it is pretty crazy to compare Troy and Jeremy coming straight out of high school, and even now. Troy is such a better basketball player and athlete. Jeremy reminds me of Watford but not near the shooter, which is a player who can't dribble and create for himself. He also cant rebound like Watford could.

Also. If Zeller had the rebounding and defensive ability that Vonleh has now, he would have led us to at least a Final Four last year. I just love the way he attacks the ball on the boards.

Thought 1- it's too early to make that call. Hollowell is turning into this teams VJIII. Always going to get hate whether he deserves it or not.

Tonight... He deserved it

Well when can we make it.... I yell everytime he touches the ball. Devin Davis should start over him already and let Jeremy come off the bench and see what if anything he can add that way.... He stands around on D, Turns the ball over when he touches it, can't shoot, apparently can't dunk....

Ok ok ok... I am done ranting now but he drives me crazy.... in all seriousness though I have a strong feeling I will be eating my words by the time he graduates..... When/if he puts it all together and reaches his potential he could be really good... kinda reminds me of a Russ Smith (UofL) as a Freshman & Sophmore.....
