Like just about every other game this season, I'll be watching from my couch.

There will be pizza. There will be beer.

Had to make back-to-back weekend trips to Charlotte recently (about a 5 1/2 hour drive). Was wearing IU hat and shirt and whenever I'd stop for gas or to get a bite, someone would comment on our season.

In fact, at one gas station, I was filling up and a guy said: "Man, that Mendoza's the real deal." It took me a second or two to realize he was talking to me, then I remembered my IU hat and figured out to whom he was referring. That was between the Rose and Peach bowls.

I said that indeed, Mendoza was having a great season and that I was still pinching myself after watching 40 years of pretty bad football. He said it was cool to see our success and hoped we would win it all.

I hope so, too!

I'll be watching the game from my living room here in Minnesota. Surprising how many comments I'm getting from complete strangers to my IU gear. Not a negative one in the bunch. One fella at Costco even looked at my IU sweatshirt at Christmas and said,

"Great team, ah one, ah two, you know what to do"!

So with that intro I proceeded to sing our fight song amongst the bakery items.

Got some curious smiles and even some clapping.

What part of Minnesota?  I use to live up in Pequot Lakes for about 10 years and I really miss it..(not the 6 months of winter though, lol)

I live south of the cities, near LeSueur. Been here around 20 years and like you, am not keen on the snow and cold. Hoping to move back home to Indiana in the next few years.

Watching it from my couch alongside my old man who cursed me with being an IUFB fan for most of my life. I told him he doesn't have to apologize for it anymore. Enjoying this experience with him was worth all those years of suffering.

Enjoy. How I wish my dad was here to see this. He was a die-hard fan who taught me the ways of cheering the Hoosier basketball teams of the 70s-90s, and enduring the Hoosier football teams throughout the years.

He actually was a general superintendent for Wilhelm Construction and worked on several repair issues at Assembly Hall - most notably the roof. He had some pretty funny stories about seeing RMK melting down during some of the basketball practices.

I'm sure I've been by there many times.  My sister lived in Woodbury (St. Paul) for a while.

I would probably only live here in Bloomington otherwise I would go to Oregon where some of my family have moved to.  I love the Eugene area.  Bloomington is a great town though.

Good luck on watching the game!
