Couple of side comments on La Lu players. Jonathan Sanderson and Gabe Weiss both had offers from Woody. Jacob Webber will be the next player you hate who will be lighting it up long range for PUke. Watching this game right now. Allow me to save anyone wanting to watch it about 20 mins of your life. Fast forward to about 6:00 in the 2nd qtr. At that point he has 1 pt on 0-3 and at about 5:00 he proceeds to explode. Scores 8 pts in about a minute including a 3 that was all of 28’ and he’s off and running from there. Scores 23 in the 2nd half. 2 side notes: 1) LaLu has former Woody offer and ND signee Jonathon Sanderson and he’s a very solid 4 yr PG prospect. Like him a good bit. Keeping in the back of my mind the possibility that if Shrewsberry gets cut loose and Sanderson reopens his recruitment he could absolutely make sense for DDV as a spring offer. 2) They also have a PU commit named Jacob Webber. Be prepared to be annoyed by that kid. He has an incredibly pronounced jackknife in his stroke and he’s gotten 2 foul calls on 3’s where kid’s haven’t really been contesting that closely but he’s managed to kick them and get the calls. If Shrews gets cut then he will probably go to whichever team hires his Dad. His dad is the Strengh coach that shrews hired to land the kid. Also has a brother who’s a giant Mongoloian kid who I thought was at LaLu as well but he’s not on the bench for this game. Uspshoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 15 Posted February 15 The Daily Hoosier - In six EYBL Scholastic games (top national competition), #iubb 2026 commit Trevor Manhertz is averaging 23.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 43% from three on more than 10 attempts per game. He is an outstanding young player in a terrible system. An upgrade over a 5th year Lamar Wilkerson? No. A fantastic addition to any high-major team? Absolutely. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Don't know what the deal was with Manhertz today. Didn't play a single minute in the first half but played all 16 minutes of the 2nd half. Early on the announcers speculated about an injury but when he played the second half he certainly didn't appear to be bothered by anything. Christ School's season record is now 21-12. 10 of their games have been as participants in the EYBL Scholastic League where their record is 1-9. This is the school's first year in this league and is definitely a step up from their traditional high school scheduling. Quote

Demo Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Nice clip. But the highlight is actually the Dukie replies. About 10 variations of “No, we didn’t offer that scrub.” Don’t know if they did or not, but they hosted an official so they had some kind of interest. Stuhoo and J34 2 Quote

It's in their nature. To be (somewhat) fair, rumor is that Duke wanted him but only for '27. If he was 100% set on reclass it was us or Louisville. Either way, very excited to have him aboard! The one I’ve had for him for a while, and it’s pretty funny given how pi$$y the Dukies are here, is sort of a Brandon Ingram without the same suddenness. He’s such a long kid that he can get his shot off against any wing defender but he can also take them down on the block or the mid-post and get some work done there. What he would lack a little is the ability to face up and drive a guy from a static position. Might need a little dribble handoff action for that. Stuhoo 1 Quote

Plus he's so young and has so much time to develop physically. The ten months he has before the first IUBB exhibition game of his career is a lifetime for his development. Quote
