Turned down a couple of FCS offers for IU.

That's a no-brainer; as an in-state the cost will be about the same and the experience will be world's better.

Here is an interview with Cig talking recruiting, our recent HS/portal class, and other miscellaneous stuff.  Starts at 5:50 in.  Nothing groundbreaking but a few interesting comments if you’re an IUFB sicko.

Almost certainly playing time. I don't have access to snap count data, but I don't think he played much late in the year and probably just wants his last season to be spent on the field.

Sounds fair enough.  I thought he might crack the rotation this year but maybe got even more buried on the depth chart.
